Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has played a wide variety of roles during his career, from a drug-addicted teenager in The Basketball Diaries to the visionary industrialist Howard Hughes in The Aviator. Now, the three-time Academy Award-nominated actor is preparing to add a completely different type of character to his impressive resume by starring in his first-ever animated feature.
A recent DreamWorks press release has been announced that DiCaprio will lend his voice to the character of Jack Frost in The Guardians (working title), a feature-length animated film based on The Guardians of Childhood series of books by William Joyce. The DreamWorks release included a brief synopsis of the movie's plot.
When an evil spirit called Pitch becomes bent upon taking over the world by inspiring fear in the hearts of kids everywhere, a group of our greatest heroes — Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost — band together for the first time,

If you're going to ask me which movie of Leonardo DiCaprio I remember the most, I'd say - 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape', and I'll have to add that even though Johnny Depp headlines the flick, both him and Leo stood out with their heartfelt performances- with DiCaprio earning an Oscar nom for his role. While I am inclined to say that Leo's role appears to be the more challenging, the acclaim he received stems from the fact that he really put himself into Arnie and he became that character.

Ellen Page, Kristen Wiig, Drew Barrymore and Juliette Lewis would wake up in the morning, do yoga and then strength-train together for two hours before going roller skating until nightfall. It was a bruise-inducing journey of female camaraderie, a two-month-long, check-your-ego-at-the-door boot camp for Barrymore's directorial debut, "Whip It." And as Lewis told MTV News as part of our weeklong fall movie preview, it was a chance for these actresses to become their own versions of superwomen.
"We all felt like action heroes!" the actress/singer said.
The film follows Page as a small-town Texas teen fed up with the beauty-pageant circuit who finds her way into an all-female league of roller-derby divas. Wiig and Barrymore play her tough-talking teammates,

"Shazam!" apparently isn't as dead as what has been reported earlier this year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor-turned-writer Bill Birch has been picked up by Warner Bros. Pictures to reboot this adaptation of a DC Comics series that features Captain Marvel. In scripting the screenplay, he will get a helping hand from DC Comics writer Geoff Johns.
Currently writing Warners' "One Finger Salute", Birch who has starred in such series as "The Unit" and "Just Shoot Me!" is the sixth writer brought into the project to pen the screenplay. "The Princess Bride" scribe William Goldman, "The Basketball Diaries" writer Bryan Goluboff, "Garfield" screenwriters Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow, and "Big Fish" penner John August have all taken a crack at adapting the comic series.
Birch's co-writer, Johns, is one of the three DC Comics heavyweights hired by the studio to act as consultants on DC projects. With the tapping of Birch and Johns,

A couple of new screenwriter updates today. Warner Brothers has hired former actor Billy Birch and DC Comics writer Geoff Johns to kick-start and co-write a new version of the Shazam! movie that never got off the ground. Birch is the sixth writer to take a crack at adapting the character Captain Marvel following William Goldman (The Princess Bride), Bryan Goluboff (The Basketball Diaries), Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow (Garfield) and John August (Big Fish, The Nines). Last we heard in back in January, the project was dead, but apparently Get Smart's Peter Segal is still attached to direct and is waiting for the new script.
In other news, Spielberg's new DreamWorks has hired Oscar winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin (Ghost, Jacob's Ladder, The Time Traveler's Wife) to write an English remake of the 2002 Japanese cult hit Resurrection, which has tentatively been re-titled to Rainbow Bridge. Resurrection, or Yomigaeri

Do you remember that young boy who starred with Omar Sharif in Monsieur Ibrahim? He's a young French actor and it was his first ever feature film, and he was incredible! What's his name again? Yes, its Pierre Boulanger! Oh, how about that naughty young boy who was cast alongside Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett in Notes on a Scandal, his name if I recall correctly is Andrew Simpson, where is he now? How about that young and exciting German actor who portrayed the teenage Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf? Yes, Tom Shilling! And that awesome young guy in AfterSchool? I need to know if he has done more movies! Ezra Miller!

I can't help but get the feeling Uwe Boll needs a hug. He seems very angry and lately has been making movies that reflect that anger, that utter contempt for society, that deep down urge to destroy everyone and everything. He uncorked his rage in a serious manner with Seed and then comically so with Postal. His latest, Rampage, is shaping up to be the film that replaces The Basketball Diaries as the spree shooter movie manifesto.
Rampage is about a guy named Bill who grows fed up with his dead end existence and the world in general. Bill decides to vent his frustrations by stock-piling an arsenal of high-powered weaponry and constructing a full-body Kevlar suit of armor and going on a murderous rampage through the streets of his hometown, killing everyone in sight (I hear the film's body count crosses into triple digits), particularly the barista that failed

Bright flashes greeted him at every turn. His face was the centerpiece of every magazine, and his name was a-tip every tongue in the free world. In 1997, Leonardo DiCaprio made his big break with Titanic, and the world would not forget his name.
At twenty-three years old, DiCaprio had already earned one Academy Award nomination for his work with Johnny Depp and Juliette Lewis in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? and had stunned his fair share of audiences with his brilliant portrayal of Jim Carroll in The Basketball Diaries. Some were hard-pressed to forget his name after his newcomer addition to the cast of Growing Pains back in 1991. His work in Romeo + Juliet would capture the hearts of many, and his work with Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, and Russell Crowe in The Quick And The Dead allowed DiCaprio to pass muster with film aficionados the world over. Yet, nothing could
