William Baker, a.k.a. the Sandman, was supposed to appear in several episodes of the cartoon series, but was held back from appearing because James Cameron tried for years to write and direct a theatrical "Spider-Man" movie with Sandman and Electro as the villains. However, the legal rights to the movie went into limbo for over a decade and the character is the only major classic Spider-Man villain to have never appeared on the series.

The Way A Perfect Cartoon Series Should Be

Compared to the various other spiderman animated shows, this one was done just right. Unlike the older spiderman animated series from the 60's, this time around it has not only much better quality and colour but excellent super villains and characters. Each character has his or her own unique background and may turn out to play a very important role in certain episodes.

This was always considered to be a childhood favourite. The characters are likable and the voice acting is really quite good. Each episode is filled with thrills and chills and is always exciting to watch. This show is full of action and has spidey facing off against a whole mess of super villains. The details of New York City are fantastic, thanks to the amazing animation. This is a very good show that is fun for all ages.
