A little while ago, a teaser trailer for Dreamworks’ How to Train Your Dragon hit the internet but it was such poor quality that it really didn’t do the film justice. This would probably be the reason why Paramount asked us a day or so later to pull the video. A couple of weeks later, a proper teaser trailer came out with the exact same footage and to say it was tons better would be an understatement.
Today, thanks to Trailer Spy, Dreamworks has released the official trailer for How to Train Your Dragon in glorious HD and it is beautiful. The story is based on the 2003 children’s book by the same name written by Cressida Cowell. The movie is set in the land of Vikings and dragons and follows a Viking boy named Hiccup on the island of Berk. For Hiccup and his people, fighting dragons is an everyday occurrence. »

Of the past decade, the major animation studios have been constantly trying to “one-up” each other when it comes to releasing major CGI animated pictures. Obviously Pixar started the ball rolling with its ground-breaking movie Toy Story but it not long after that, DreamWorks got into the CG animation ring and threw a knockout punch with Shrek. Next on the DreamWorks agenda? How to Train Your Dragon in 3D.
Based on the book by the same name written by Cressida Cowell, the story follows the adventures of Hiccup the Viking boy who would be king and his quest to pass a rite of passage. To succeed he must find the fiercest dragon in all the land and bring it under his submission, kind of like breaking in a horse for a cowboy, I suppose. The first teaser for How to Train Your Dragon has hit YouTube but it’s a »

A New comic book is being launched by American actor and reality TV star Reichen Lehmkuhl.
The 35-year-old is a former Air Force captain who moved into acting after he won the fourth series of Us reality game show The Amazing Race.
He is now penning a new action adventure comic, The Wasps, and is also set to star in a film adaptation of the story.
The Wasps is inspired by the exploits of Lehmkuhl's grandmother, Betty Turner Stagg, who was a member of Wasp (Women Airforce Service Pilots) - a group of thousands of civilian female aviators employed to fly military aircraft on non-combat missions during the Second World War, in order to free up male pilots for combat service.
The comic, to be published by Bluewater Productions next year, is a time-travel tale that follows the adventures of a modern-day Air Force pilot trapped back in 1942. The hero fights Nazis, »

Great TV characters never truly go away. Sure, their shows may eventually be cancelled but we get to see them via reruns, DVDs, and maybe even an occasional reunion. If we're lucky, they might even pop up in an unexpected place or two -- like The Price Is Right and The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.
The Drew Carey Show ran from 1995 until 2006. The sitcom centers around a nice guy (Drew Carey) who works in the human resources department of a multinational department store. His boss is Mr. Wick (Craig Ferguson), a nasty man with a loathsome secretary named Mimi Bobeck (Kathy Kinney) -- an overweight woman who wears too much makeup. Other characters are played by Ryan Stiles, Diedrich Bader, Christa Miller, John Carroll Lynch, Cynthia Watros, Ian Gomez, and Nan Martin.
The castmembers are all very talented but the show's most memorable persona is certainly Kinney's egocentric Mimi. »
