I don't know why this film got such low ratings. I thought it was really good. In fact, I gave it my rare 10 stars.

I felt the storyline was tight, the actors all did a good job, the plot didn't have any holes in it, dialog was realistic.

Someone here mentioned that Jerry Logan is able to walk without even so much as a limp after his feet were injured. Not true. He was having a very difficult time--they didn't goof on that. I really didn't see any goofs in this movie, which, by the way, is based on a novel.

The basic story has to do with this man who has stolen a million dollars from a Las Vegas casino. He gets into Jerry Logan's cab, and gives him a big tip to hurry to the airport as fast as possible, but fast isn't fast enough.

The mob is onto him. They follow the cab, an accident ensues, the man who stole the money is killed. Jerry Logan goes home and discovers the money in a briefcase in the back of his cab.

Then a brutal hitman is put on Jerry Logan's trail, and the tension mounts.

Eventually a pretty nurse, who befriends Jerry, gets drawn into this violent cat and mouse game.

I was on the edge of my seat during this film.
