Fun Stuff

Trivia:
The McDonald's that Kevin Franklin is seen visiting in Sewickley is actually a hardware store. The small town of Sewickley, in which most of this movie was filmed, does not have a McDonald's, so they had to build a fake front. more
Goofs:
Continuity: Kevin knocks out a patient at the dentist, causing the cotton on the patient’s mouth to fall out. But when Kevin puts the mask on the patient, the cotton has reappeared. more
Quotes:
[Kevin's shipment of baseball cards come in]
Kevin Franklin: The entire 1994 baseball season, know what I'm saying? I got Ken Griffey Jr. here, Barry Bonds, Jose Canseco. People spend big money for baseball cards, but if they get hurt, it's even worth more money! Say one of them's going to the car after the game, gets hit - pow! I don't wanna see it happen, but if it does, I'm getting paid!

HOUSESITTER, in my opinion, is a good film that's very funny, albeit somewhat crude. It's a story about what can happen when you don't pay off your debts. If you ask me, the way that Kevin (Sinbad) talked his way into staying with the Youngs (Phil Hartman, Kim Griest, Chauncey Leopardi, Talia Seider, Kim Murphy) was pretty darn clever. However, when Kevin performed that oral surgery, I think I wanted to puke. This was because he wasn't a certified dentist. In conclusion, if you like Sinbad or Phil Hartman movies, this is definitely one to see. You will truly enjoy it, so go to the video store, rent it or buy it, kick back with a friend, and enjoy it.
