Ross and Monica's parents (Jack and Judy Gellar) were the most frequent guest-stars. They were played by Elliott Gould and Christina Pickles.

Rachel's parents, Marlo Thomas and Ron Leibman (Dr. Leonard and Sandra Green), were together in episode Friends: The One with the Two Parties (#2.22), in which they announced they're divorcing. They appeared separately a few times afterwards.

Joey's parents, Brenda Vaccaro and Robert Costanzo (Joseph Sr. and Gloria Tribbiani), appeared in only one episode Friends: The One with the Boobies (#1.13) in which Joey finds out his father is cheating on his mother.

In Friends: The One at the Beach (#3.25) Phoebe meets Phoebe Abbott, her real mother, Teri Garr. She appeared in two additional episodes. She discovers Frank Buffay (Bob Balaban) is her father in Friends: The One with Joey's Bag (#5.13). He, Phoebe Abbott and Lily Buffay lived in a menage-a-trois; Lily raised Phoebe as her own daughter, before she committed suicide

Chandler's mother, Nora Bing, was Morgan Fairchild and his frequently referenced drag-queen dad (Charles Bing) was ultimately played by actress Kathleen Turner.

The group that sings/plays the theme song is The Rembrandts. Grammy nominated duo Phil Solem and Danny Wilde.

In the final episode when Joey buy Monica and Chandler and new baby chick and duck, it is revealed that Joey was told they were sent to a farm when they got old, obviously protecting Joey from the fact that they either died or were put down.

The last time you hear from the Duck is in an early season 7 episode where Joey says the Duck was throwing up all over the place and he did NOT eat Rachel's face cream.

Pretty much, Chandler was saying that Joey was pushing the q-tip past the resistance point, and hitting his brain. If Joey would stop at the resistance, he wouldn't be so stupid. In the UK Q Tips are called Cotton buds.

Well, Rachel's middle name is Karen, and was 24 in the pilot and 34 in the finale.

Ross's middle name is Eustace, and was 26 in the pilot and 36 in the finale.

Monica's middle initial is E. (she buys "MEG" shares because they form her initials), and was 25 in the pilot and 35 in the finale.

Joey's middle name is Francis, and was 25 in the pilot and 35 in the finale.

Chandler's middle name is Muriel, and was also 26 in the pilot and 36 in the finale.

Phoebe's was 28 in the pilot and 38 in the finale. She has a middle name but does not know what it is, as her sister Ursula sold Phoebe's birth certificate to a Swedish woman.

Ross, Rachel and Monica are all Jewish, but do not seem to practice (Ross did once try to teach his son Ben about the Maccabees). Joey is an Italian-American and Roman Catholic, but again does not show any signs of faith. Phoebe alludes to a variety of spiritual views but makes no clear declaration of beliefs. Chandler is apparently non-religious.
