  • An alternate take is used for the USA TV version: When Phil Hartman's character is telling his story in the jail, he refers to the prisoner's victim as a "girlfriend" instead of the more profane "bitch" used in all other versions.

  • In the original version, Mike Myers is wearing a short green towel (covering from waist to mid-thigh) that falls of when he hugs Ralph, exposing his bum. In the TV version, the shot where the towel drops has been altered-the towel has been digitally lengthened (covering from waist to mid-calf), and only begins to drop off before the shot ends. In all other shots the towel remains short.

  • The UK cinema release, rated "12", is cut by 57 seconds. All other releases are uncut and rated "15".
