  • Continuity: During the fight at the castle, Robin ducks under a table to dodge some arrows. It is obvious there is nothing under the table. However, in the next shot Maid Marion is seen next to him.

  • Continuity: When Maid Marian climbs out of the bathtub the ends of her hair are wet but soon appear completely dry.

  • Revealing mistakes: When the patriot arrow heads to the second set of seats (after the royal box) some of the peasants move before the arrow gets to them.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Broomhilde goes to jump from the balcony onto her horse, the concrete is already cracked before she lands on it.

  • Continuity: When the Sheriff goes into the throne room to tell Prince John about Robin attacking him, John tells the woman in the blue dress "Later...!". She giggles and runs away. In the next shot, she runs away again.

  • Continuity: When the townsmen "lend Robin their ears" the ear on his arrow holder changes position and the ear entirely in between scenes.

  • Continuity: When the necklace is thrown from Robin's neck it is twirling very fast, but the next shot, when it hits the wall smashing the locket and revealing the key, the necklace is not twirling at all.

  • Continuity: In the scene where Robin gets the box containing "the key to the greatest treasure in all the land," the box is closed and as Robin puts it around his neck, the box is open.

  • Factual errors: When Asneeze is saying good-bye to Robin he is urging him to hurry because "It is a long way from Africa to England". But Robin's journey marks on the map start from Jerusalem which is not in Africa.

  • Continuity: During the end of the bridge pole fight scene when the poles are only several inches long, Robin hits Little John on his left hand knuckles but Little John pulls his right hand away in pain.

  • Continuity: As Maid Marion is walking down the aisle, she has on slippers. However, as she is being wrapped in the red cloth, her bare feet reveal she is not wearing any shoes.

  • Continuity: When firing the Patriot arrow Robin draws the arrow twice.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): During the "Men in Tights" song and dance number at the lyrics: '...We roam around the forest looking for fights...', David Chappelle (Ahchoo) makes a minor mistake in choreography by raising his right-hand to his forehead instead of his left-hand, and then makes a quick switch to correct his mistake.

  • Continuity: The "old man" disguise Robin wears to the archery contest vanishes after he takes it off.

  • Revealing mistakes: In the suit of armor/dominoes scene, some of the suits of armor clearly have no one inside them.

  • Anachronisms: Although there are plenty of clearly intentional anachronisms throughout the movie (jackhammers, references to Mark Twain and Blazing Saddles, etc.), King Richard's coat of arms (quartered English lions with blue fleurs de lis - no version of which was used by the kings of England for more than a hundred years after Richard) is likely to be unintentional.
