"Munchie" has a lot a things a family film could want. Cheesy special effects since it was made from B movie king Roger Corman with his Company New Horizons, A warped since of humor, a cheesy cast inculding Loni Anderson and Andrew Stevens. Did i mention Jennifer Love Hewitt too? Yes she's in this movie as Gabe's love interest. She was young then since i knew it was her from the look of her face and voice.
All the cheesy stuff in this movie is funny and that's a good thing! I can live with cheesy movie's but this takes the cake. Disney Channel used to show this movie almost every day. I watch it every time it was on. I Love the humor and Dom Deluise who voices Munchie and every time he spoke he didn't become "Jar Jar binks" annoying that's for sure. He moves funny and his mouth moves strangely and looks like some unused puppet from Chuck E Cheeses :)
I loved this movie for what it is even if it is cheesy and both funny because of the humor and the magic Roger Corman. I've also seen "Munchie Strikes Back" which has Munchie voiced but somebody else. But i liked Dom's performance he takes the movie in a perfect direction and didn't understand they change his voice for the sequel. So if you want check some cheesy movie you'd like to watch because funny charms. This movie's worth it! Im ordering it on Amazon.com along with the sequel on my birthday.
Get this movie and the sequel it's worth it! Now give me a Third Munchie movie Roger Corman im ready for it! I'm Game!
