I first saw Folks (1992) back in 1992 as a rental. I liked Tom Sellick and Don Ameche but did not know what to expect. Me and my brother sat down to watch and we didn't stop laughing until the credits rolled. I don't know if it was that funny or if I could just Identify with Tom Sellicks character. This is one of those movies that you either find uterlly hilarious or you just don't get it. In fact I recomended it to my cusin and he didn't like it or get it. You see I have older parents and I think you have to have some experience with older people or live with older parents to get this movie, without that experience you probably won't find this movie very funny. Tom Sellick was awsome as was Don Ameche and Anne Jackson as his parents. Everybody was perfectly cast. In fact I might say that it contains the greatest casting job ever done. Ted Kotcheff directed this comic masterpiece and props go out to Robert Klane for the great story and characters. I always watch this movie when it comes on television and laugh my arse off every time. Thanks for the great comedy we need them.
