Continuity: Next to the erotic store, Hector Savage's Ford van changes years.
Crew or equipment visible: Crew member visible in the lower left corner operating "Hector Savage" when he is swelling up with the water.
Revealing mistakes: When Ed is looking through Jane's sketch book, he acts shocked at how the sketch artist drew Jane in exotic outfits, then he flips the pages. The drawings are facing the camera, and there is obviously nothing drawn on the page facing Ed.
Continuity: When Frank and Jane are trying to crack the code to stop the bomb going off, Frank's jacket is eaten by the machinery. In the following scene when he is up on the stage making a speech, he is wearing his jacket.
Revealing mistakes: Right after Nordberg blows up the door to the roof access at the hotel, Frank enters and leaps over the railing behind a computer panel. When the stuntman lands, his shadow stays in the same place while Leslie Nielsen comes out.
Continuity: In this movie, Frank calls Ed's wife Edna, but in the first one, Ed's wife name is revealed as Ethel.
Revealing mistakes: When Savage is getting ready to kill Jane in the shower, he places a silencer on a gun that a silencer wouldn't work on.
Factual errors: After the zoo escape scene, a giraffe runs by the camera making a noise. Giraffes make no "vocal" sounds.
Continuity: Towards the end of the film, Jane is taken hostage. When she first appears as a hostage, she is gagged so that both of her lips are still visible. In subsequent scenes, the gag covers the whole of her mouth.
Crew or equipment visible: Whilst Norbert is being dragged under the front of Frank's car and is hitting objects left in the road, the car drives past the camera and you can clearly see that Norbert has two animatronic legs attached to the front of the vehicle.
Revealing mistakes: At the beginning banquet, after a lemon flies out of Frank Drebin's hand and lands in Winnie Mandela's hat, the actress playing her can be seen starting to laugh
