Revealing mistakes: In the scene when Thomas J is stung by the bees, it was a hornets nest on the ground he kicked, but it was clearly honey bees that came out of the hive.

Genuinely funny and moving tear-jerker that focuses on one particularly ill-fated summer in the life of a super-hypochondriacal eleven year-old girl who just happens to be the daughter of the town's only undertaker. Anna Chlumsky and Macauly Culkin are excellent here as the two adorable and precocious youngsters, as are Dan Akroyd as Chlumsky's curmudgeonly mortician father and his new assistant (the surprisingly upbeat) Jamie Lee Curtis as the interloper who is basically at the heart of the many life-changing moments that Chlumsky goes through in the movie. Overall, "My Girl" is an all-around exceptional production, with a great soundtrack and nearly unbeatable laid-back nostalgic feel that will continue to draw audiences back to it over, and over again!
