  • Revealing mistakes: Wires clearly visible when old Peter first re-learns to fly.

  • Continuity: The bedsheet tent is knocked down as the children are kidnapped, but set up by the time Peter has a drink.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When Capt. Hook sees the pocket watch that Jack has, it shows 7:42. A few seconds later, it shows 7:39. Time runs backwards, and at a variable pace, in Neverland.

  • Continuity: When Peter leaves Neverland in the charge of one of the Lost Boys, he takes out his sword twice.

  • Continuity: An exterior shot shows the plane is a Boeing 747, but the interior is of a narrow body aircraft.

  • Continuity: When the dog digs the telephone in, the antenna is out and it is open. When Peter digs it out after returning from Neverland, he pulls out the antenna and opens it to take the call.

  • Revealing mistakes: Cordless phone buried by dog is clearly a toy phone (display is a sticker).

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In the showdown between the Lost Boys and the pirates on the pirate ship, the sun is directly behind both of the two facing groups - there are two suns and two moons in Neverland.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Hook's hook is put on after it is carried thru the Neverland Docks, and the sparks are going off, the crew and some equipment can be seen in its reflective surface.

  • Crew or equipment visible: Reflection of camera visible in window handle when it is being opened.

  • Revealing mistakes: Throughout the movie, evidence of the flying rigs is visible. This is especially noticeable at the end when you can see the bump caused by Tootle's harness.

  • Continuity: Hook's glasses disappear between shots when he is standing very close to Peter on the ship.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Hook drags his hook across Peter's arm during the fight, the tip appears to bend.

  • Continuity: When Hook slices Peter's arm with his hook, the hook is pulled down across his arm one way, yet in the next shot, the blood shows the cut to be at a different angle.

  • Continuity: When Peter is hit in the head with a baseball he falls to the ground. When he lands his head is upon green-colored ground, in the next shot his head is upon brown-colored ground.

  • Continuity: When Peter starts to fight the pirates on the ship, the first is kicked between two barrels. He's on his stomach, but in the next shot transfers to his right side, and in the next to his left side.

  • Continuity: The watch that Peter gave Jack changes times between shots, from 7:35 to 7:50.

  • Continuity: In the food fight the food covering Peter and the Lost Boys changes between shots. For example when Rufio throws the coconut the food on everyone immediately looks much dryer than before, and some of them have clean patches around their eyes that weren't there seconds earlier, these are both very noticeable on Peter.

  • Continuity: When the children are hanging in the net and Peter is trying to reach them, in the shot where Maggie says "Come on Daddie, Mommie could do it," she has both arms reaching out and Jack only his right arm. But as the next shot, from above, starts only Maggie's right arm and Jack's left are seen reaching out.

  • Continuity: As Peter starts to climb the ship's mast to reach his children, the net they are hanging in is swinging, but in the next shot, a close-up of the net, it's completely still.

  • Revealing mistakes: As Peter attempts a front flip over the wall on returning home, when placing his hands on the snow covered wall top the whole row of snow moves slightly like a stiff solid, and his hands do not go into the thick snow even though he pushes down on it to jump.

  • Continuity: When Peter knocks off Hook's hat and wig then they lands on the head of a Lost Boy, in the close-ups Hook's hat on the Lost Boy is crooked but in the shots of Peter and Hook where this boy is visible behind them the hat is completely straight.

  • Continuity: When Tinkerbell starts glowing as she's turning human size inside the clock, the little curtains are fully open and you can't see Peter's hands; it then cuts to a shot behind Peter, his hands are suddenly now on the edge of the little window and the curtains are now more closed.

  • Continuity: When the baseball is approaching Peter's head there is a ladder behind him very slightly to his left but in the next shot when the ball hits him the ladder is behind him to his right.

  • Continuity: When Peter is on the ground after being hit on the head with a baseball at first there is nothing on his belt, but then a little pouch suddenly appears.

  • Continuity: When the Lost Boys fire sticky arrows at Peter, at first there is no bright colored goo/paint on his clothes this doesn't appear until it changes to the next shot where Peter says "I've been shot" and he pulls and arrow off his groin.

  • Continuity: After the police leave the house Peter and Wendy are talking on the bed, the book is visible on the table behind them. In the close-up of the book as Peter reaches for it its position has changed.

  • Continuity: As Maggie is being tucked into bed by Peter she holds up the paper flower with both arms but in the shot from behind Peter she is only holding it up with her right arm.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Peter talks to Tinkerbell through the window of the clock house he puts his face right into the window. The outside shots show some kind of balcony/shelf outside the window, making it impossible for him to stand this close; especially when he puts his finger in his mouth like a thermometer as his arm comes from below, through where this shelf would be.

  • Crew or equipment visible: The green haired and last mermaid, to approach Peter in the water has someone behind her. A person in a wetsuit can be seen among the seaweed, their moving hands stand out most.

  • Continuity: When Peter Pan is watching the baseball game in Neverland, the size of his earring changes between shots.

  • Continuity: When Peter is disguised as a pirate on the ship, a wide shot shows him with his scarf wrapped around over his mouth, but in the next shot the scarf is below his mouth.

  • Continuity: Jack's hair changes a few times from mussed up to swept back under his baseball cap just after Jack smashes the watch.

  • Continuity: When Hook is attempting suicide, his coat is resting on his shoulders. After a close up of him cocking the pistol, the coat disappears.

  • Continuity: Smee's earring changes ears between scenes. It's first seen in his left ear as he carries Hook's hook to him on the red pillow. Other scenes such as the baseball game, it's in his right ear.

  • Crew or equipment visible: During a wide-shot of the Lost Boys' food-fight, the light of a camera can be seen off and on, in the upper left part of the screen.

  • Factual errors: In J.M. Barrie's novel, "Peter and Wendy" (The original Peter Pan Story), Peter states that he cut off Hook's right hand, forcing him to fight lefty. However, in this film, Hook is missing his left hand.

  • Continuity: When Peter is in the playroom at Granny Wendy's house, there is a teddy bear in the room. It's the same teddy bear that is found later by Peter in Neverland inside the tree but no-one brings the teddy back to Neverland when Peter goes there to save his children.

  • Continuity: When baby Peter is out alone in the rain, he is wet from the water. But in the close-up shot, his face is suddenly dry.

  • Continuity: When Peter cuts the pirate sail, it falls to the ground and is perfectly shaped as him, but when you see him into the sail, its more of a giant hole rather than a perfect cutout of himself.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Rufio says, "You're dead, jolly man," his mouth is saying "Drop" dead.

  • Continuity: In the scenes that take place in Neverland, Peter's arms are hairless, but in the other scenes, thick hair can be seen covering Peter's arms.

  • Continuity: When young Peter visits Wendy's room to chase his shadow, you can see the animated shadow clearly, and the original real shadow next to Peter.

  • Continuity: When Peter first sees the crocodile clock, the hands of the clock face in its mouth are spinning wildly. When seen from a wider angle a few shots later, they're perfectly still.

  • Anachronisms: In several close up shots of Captain Hook where Dustin Hoffman is mouth wide open, we can clearly see his fillings, yet it is doubtful that the character may have any on XVIIIth century. In fact, even though fillings already appeared in China on 4th century B.C., they have been widely used only from 1850 on.

  • Continuity: When Peter falls off the ship into the water, a mermaid approaches him and his hands are tied together. In the next shot his hands have been untied with no time for the mermaid to have done this.

  • Continuity: In the scene where Moira throws Peters cell phone out the window, the window is only half way open, but when Peter goes to look out the window it is all the way open.

  • Continuity: When the lost boys are painting Peter for his first trial of flight in the sling shot the colors/design changes from when they paint him to when he is sitting in the sling shot. Most noticeably the white line on his stomach turns into a red happy face.

  • Continuity: At the baseball game, Hook tells Smee to make the pirates switch HOME and RUN, he is seen yelling "Switch!" and then the scene moves to Smee standing at the pitcher's mound with a shocked look on his face and standing still as if he's been standing there for a while.

  • Continuity: When Peter realizes his happy thought he still has a white shirt on. When he takes off he suddenly has a green outfit.

  • Continuity: When the Lost Boys are going to sleep, blowing out their candles, 2 nearly full moons can be seen. After Rufio has acknowledged Peters identity, kneeled down for him and gave him his sword, two crescent moons can be seen. Since Peter only had 3 days to get into shape those moons had to be a few days before last Quarter (or waning gibbous).

>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<

Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.

  • Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: In the scene when Hook tries to shoot himself, the pistol fires when the two men struggle for it and the shot sets on fire and sinks the toy pirate ship in the scale model of Neverland (a sinister omen of things to come). As the toy ship sinks, the pole/stand used to drag it underwater can be seen.
