some guys have all the luck..., 14 July 2003
Author: MIKEHILL38 (MIKEHILL38@HOTMAIL.COM) from manchester, england

kevin costner plays a retired 'gung ho' u.s. air pilot who accepts an invitation from his old pal 'tibby' (quinn) to visit him in mexico where...yes! you've guessed it; kevin starts taking a fancy to his young mrs. whose young enough to be his daughter. "i should have married the mother" quips quinn and indeed i'm sure everybody else would agree in unison as it's not long till costners putting some weight on the lady concerned whilst quinns performing a striptease! where else but in the movies would you be able to drive a jeep while trying to make love at the same time or visiting the restroom at your local cantina only to leave with a sore throat? the late, much missed jack nitzsche provides a wonderful soundtrack and the whole movies beautifully shot by tony ('top gun') scott as well as expertly co-written by a superb writer/poet named jim harrison who also penned 'the legend of the falls' novella. mightily undervalued and well worth a look.
