It's time for another edition of The Art Of Horror, and today we're featuring an amazing sculptor/special effects artist from the UK, the massively talented Ian Frost...
According to Ian, he first became interested in special effects "after watching too many cheesy horror movies back in the 80s." After discovering Fangoria magazine, which featured articles showcasing the stellar F/X in the flicks he loved and some "how to's" on the effects themselves, he was completely hooked.
Then Fango unleashed Gorezone, which contained even more make-up instructions, and soon Mr. Frost began experimenting with F/X and doing makeups on himself and other willing participants.
He "fell out of the loop at eighteen, got married (far more horrifying than any movie) and had kids, and while friends went on to do well in the biz, I ended up in a 'normal' day job."
