  • Continuity: When Ben is introducing himself for the first time in the class, Richie's shirt changes between shots.

  • Continuity: When Pennywise waves at Ben when he's in the cab, the balloon arrangement changes between shots.

  • Continuity: When Pennywise laughs at young Ben the amount of balloons he has changes and also in the first two shots the strings are tangled, in the third they are not.

  • Continuity: When Georgie runs along the street in the rain, the grass behind him is dry.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Beverly Marsh returns to her house 30 years later, and Pennywise attacks her in the form of her dead father. Watch as she runs out of the house and nearly gets run over by a truck. You can hear the horn of the truck beeping constantly, but the drivers hands are fixed firmly on the wheel.

  • Continuity: When Beverly Marsh shoots the bottles and cans to test her shot. She shoots a white bottle and another can leaving two cans and a dark blue bottle. We see the dark blue get smashed and then one of the cans and then we see another shot of a blue bottle get smashed.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: When young Ben is confronted by the rotten skeleton at the barrens, as it talks, the mouth is out of time with the words that are being said.

  • Crew or equipment visible: After Bev has been chased out of her fathers house 30 years later, If you look to the far side of the screen you can faintly see the thin metal stick which they tied to the balloon so that one of the crew could make it bounce from a distance.

  • Continuity: When Bill first picks up Georgie's photo album, on the front, the paper with 'Georgie' written on it is folded up at the top left hand corner. But after Bill's mother picks the book up, it's been magically stuck back down.

  • Continuity: When Belch is pulled into the broken sewer pipe by IT, you can see the edge is twisted with sticking out bits of metal. But when the camera angle changes the edges are completely smooth.

  • Continuity: When they defeat Pennywise, he gets sucked into a small drain hole. You can see all that is sticking out is his wrist and hand. But when he grabs Bill a lot more of his arm is sticking out.

  • Continuity: In the last scene where Stan's wife walks in and Stan is in the bathtub dead, it shows Stan with his hand in the bathtub but when it shows it again, the hand is on the wall with blood all over it.

  • Continuity: Young Bill has a dimple in his chin that old Bill doesn't have.

  • Continuity: When the 7 kids throw stones at Henry Bowers he gets hit, falls down and starts to bleed on his forehead. When he later gets up and walks away there is no bleeding on his forehead.

  • Continuity: When the clown is causing the library to be the target of a windy rainstorm, the books are being pulled off the shelves row by row. They cut back to the shelf where the books have already been pulled off, and yet there are still many on there that have reappeared.

  • Continuity: At the end of the film, Bill's hand is on Audra in one shot, then it's on his bike in the next.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Ben kicks Henry and falls down a bank into the barrens you can tell that it's a stuntman falling because you can catch a glimpse of the face. The stunt mans hair is much darker than Bens.

  • Continuity: Tom Rogan pops the cork out of his wine bottle and carries it in his right hand. But when he walks into the bedroom it is now in his left hand.

  • Continuity: After she argues with Tom, Beverly leaves the house carrying her coat and a suitcase, but when you see her hail a cab she has gained an extra bag.

  • Revealing mistakes: When young Beverly is greeted by the voices from out of her bathroom sink. You can see the reflection of the red balloon on the shiny plughole, that will blow out in a few minutes.

  • Revealing mistakes: You can tell that the rock that hits Beverly is rubber because it bounces off her like a ball.

  • Revealing mistakes: When the friends inhale Eddie's asthma medicine outside the sewer. They wait for a few seconds, and it's painfully obvious they are waiting for a cue. Then Bill looks up and they all get up and go.

  • Continuity: When Mike opens up the fridge in the library, look at the cans of beer (on the shelf on the door). Then, when Bill begins to talk they have now changed position.

  • Continuity: When the friends are at the hotel, three of them decide to go up stairs to get things. They leave the living room area in this order Ben, Eddie, and Mike. When they turn the corner and go up the stairs the order is now Ben, Mike, and then Eddie.

  • Revealing mistakes: When the picture comes to life and Pennywise jumps onto the lamppost, you can tell that its fake because it wobbles, and nearly falls over when he jumps on it.

  • Continuity: At the barrens Ben ties a hanky around a fat boys leg, the hanky and the boys jeans are level. But when we see him get up, there is a gap between them.

  • Continuity: At the beginning of the film we see a tray of China cups filled up with water, and it is clear that rain is pouring onto them. Then a second later, the little girl on her bike appears, and you can see that it isn't raining at all her clothes are completely dry, as are her mothers.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Georgie is playing with his newspaper boat, you can see the string that is pulling it along the gutter.

  • Continuity: When Georgie is playing with his newspaper boat in the rain it is clearly a bright sunny day. Shadows of many objects can be seen and rays of sun are visible throughout the scene.

  • Continuity: When Stan is reading the "Atlanta Register", he is wearing slip-on black dress shoes. When his wife finds him in the bathroom and sees his clothes on the toilet, the shoes beside the toilet (that he was wearing) are clearly black lace-ups.

  • Continuity: When they are in the library after they found out Stan committed suicide, Beverly stands up. In the next shot she is sitting down and then stands up again.

  • Continuity: When Beverly Marsh is in her bathroom and the blood bubble bursts, some blood hits her face, but it disappears in subsequent shots.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Eddie enters the shower he has five shadows even though there is supposedly only one light in the room.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: At various times - for example, when Audra Denborough first encounters Pennywise - the blue clown makeup triangles above Pennywise's eyes disappear. They're also absent when Pennywise appears in the moving photograph. However, It is a changeling and it’s clown make-up can be different every time.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Bill encounters George in the sewers, you can tell that his arms are bunched up in his raincoat.

  • Continuity: When Bill is looking through the photo album in Georgie's room, the first shot of Georgie is different from the second shot where he winks. His smile is visibly different.

  • Continuity: When young Ben is being chased by the gang of kids and falls backwards down the hill, the first shot after he stands back up shows a cut on his head. In the next shot, it is gone.

  • Continuity: It seems as if Mike was the last to join the seven back in the 1960s. The day Mike joins them was apparently several days after the other kids had encountered It. Out of the discussion about It, which takes place the day of the Rock Battle, we learn that every single kid in the gang has already seen It somewhere. However, later in the movie, Bev tells a story about the blood in her bathroom, and in the flashback, we see all of the 7 kids entering Bev's bathroom to clean the mess up, the day right after the blood had come out of the washbasin.

  • Crew or equipment visible: In the scene where the last six are in the library and the books are flying off the shelf, look in-between the top and second shelves and you will faintly see a flash of a metal object running the length of the books. It appears to be the device to knock the books flying off the shelves.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When the Adults are in the sewer and Georgie's paper boat is coming down the tunnel towards them, the lights are casting the camera's shadow against the wall, so you see the camera following the boat.

  • Continuity: When Beverly returns to her childhood home as an adult, you can see the name MARSH in all capital letters by the doorknob. However, when shot moves to a close up it is instead written in proper format as Marsh. Switching back to the faraway shot changes the name back to all capital MARSH again.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When they are in the tunnel and the boat comes, you can see the shadow of a camera at the wall.

  • Errors in geography: When Eddie Kaspbrak as an adult first arrives in Derry, a Canadian flag can be seen on top of a building in the distance behind him.
