A monster that is part of an ancient Indian curse manifests itself in a home, and when the kid sees the beast, his parents don't believe him, so he make a attempt to destroy the monster by himself. I think this is one of those "death to white people" flick. I don't know. I wasn't really paying attention. I was half expecting the monster to say "I hate you because your white!" at one point. It's a pretty mediocre horror film. Kudos to the creature designer though, for making one nasty, scary, creepy-looking, even terrifying monster for the film, though. Good plot, too.
