At one point Dr. West suggests that the noises coming from his laboratory wall are just "probably rats in the wall". This is a reference to one of H.P. Lovecraft's better known stories "Rats In The Wall". moreGoofs:

A few months after the events depicted in the first film Dr. Herbert West and Dr. Dan Cain are back up to their old trick, up this time they are trying to re-animate dead body parts in hopes of creating the perfect women.
"Bride of Re-Animator" is a good and overall worthy sequel to the 1985 horror-comedy classic. There is plenty of crazy gore and nudity. Dr. Carl Hill is back (well, his head anyway) and is great. Although it's not quite as funny as "Re-Animator" this movie still contains many funny moments. Director Brian Yuzna keeps a pretty good pace through out the film and does a commendable job of balancing the humor with the scares, unlike most horror-comedies this really does contain some legitimately spooky moments. The entry also touches on more of the "Frankenstein-esquire" moral undertones, such as man desire to be God that the original did, something I really enjoyed as a hardcore fan of "Frankenstein" movies (Universal and Hammer films in particular). Although "Bride of Re-Animator" does not contain any moments as wonderfully weird as the "head giving head" scene in the original is still contains several cool moments. My favorite part is when Dr. Hill fuses bat wings to his head. The score is also a very cool Bernard Herman-esquire one that successfully adds tension to the film. "Bride of Re-Animator" is a fine and fun sequel to "Re-Animator", not only is it one of the better sequels from the modern era of horror, as a stand alone film its one of the best the 1990's had to offer. Now personally I consider the 1990's to be one of the weaker decades, but there were a few good films, and this is one of them. My only complaint is that this does tend to drag a bit during the first ten minuets, but other than that this is a solid film.
