The Dickies, Roy Thinnes, and some blood....., 11 December 2006
6/10
Author: TheatreX from Louisville, KY

Rush Week is not any worse than any number of films that came out during the 80's. And it does have The Dickies performing a couple of songs at a dance so it's not ALL bad. And it's got Roy Thinnes (David Vincent of "The Invaders") as the Dean Of Students who may well be moonlighting. Seems that a bunch of girls who have chosen to pose for money for some sleazy creep that works at the cafeteria have all gone missing. This particular creep pays in hundred dollar bills that have a red double-bladed ax on them so naturally he'd be a suspect. One girl that works for the campus newspaper is onto this story because girls keep disappearing and the connection is that they were all "models" for this particular creep. But is he the killer? I won't say, of course. This is not by any means terrible, and in fact it's a bit fun with some "Animal House" style antics from the local bad boys on campus, BDB. Including infiltrating a pledge party at their rivals (GAE) and posing as homosexuals. When the killer is finally revealed I guess it was kind of a surprise, but others may see it coming. Not particularly gory or anything, just sort of a typical 80's horror flick with only a couple highlights, but still not terrible. 6 out of 10.
