- Continuity: When Bond gets out of his car at the airport he puts his tickets in his right inside pocket. He takes them out of his left pocket when approaching the desk.
- Factual errors: When the air hose on a truck's braking system is severed, the brakes lock on, they do not release as shown.
- Factual errors: The discharge of an electric eel does not produce flashes of light in the water.
- Continuity: Near the Wavecrest, Bond is on sentinel and jumps off after it reaches the surface. A small boat approaches with four men on board. Two jump into the water after Bond. In the next shot, there are still four men on the boat and two more jump into the water.
- Continuity: When Bond throws the burning gasoline in the lab, he throws it horizontally. The shot then cuts to flaming gasoline falling on, and flooding, the lab table from directly above the frame.
- Crew or equipment visible: After the prison van has plunged off the bridge, the cables that are lowering the van to the sea bed can be seen attached to the roof.
- Revealing mistakes: When Bond first tries out the lighter given to him, a tube connected to the lighter is visible running down his sleeve.
- Factual errors: Small decompression chambers such as the one Milton Krest has on his boat only go up to six atmospheres which is nowhere near enough to kill someone in the manner depicted in the film.
- Continuity: After Bond pushes the tanker against the cliff walls, Sanchez's henchmen take aim with the Stinger rocket launcher. We see a) the henchman's POV taking aim through the viewfinder - Bond's tanker in straight road with no cliffs and no second tanker in background, then b) Stinger fired, c) crashed tanker's driver reacts to Stinger launch (so evidently sees it), d) Bond getting the tanker he's driving up on one side with ramp (no background tanker nor close cliffs in sight), e) Stinger missing Bond, f) Stinger colliding and blowing up crashed tanker near cliff walls (which was nowhere in sight when POV was from Stinger launcher sights) - evidently henchmen and crashed tanker not on same line of fire.
- Continuity: When Bond is battling the pilot on the pontoon plane, he's hanging out the starboard (passenger-side) doorway. When the exterior shot shows the plane banking starboard up, the interior shot shows the ground over Bond's shoulder (should show the sky). Conversely, when the plane is banking starboard down, the sky is shown behind Bond (should show the ground).
- Factual errors: Bond's Lincoln Mark VII has a front Florida license plate; that state only has rear plates.
- Revealing mistakes: During the opening sequence, when Bond is being lowered from the helicopter, his hair is barely being ruffled at all, despite the helicopter having to fly at the same speed as Sanchez's airplane.
- Continuity: When Bond sneaks aboard the Wavecrest, it is night time. However, when the Sentinel is sent out to sea a few minutes later, it is suddenly broad daylight.
- Continuity: Bond's hands as he grabs onto the seaplane change position with each different camera angle.
- Continuity: As the seaplane is taking off, stormclouds are seen in the distance, but disappear in the next scene.
- Revealing mistakes: When the door for the helicopter opens, it opens over 40 feet in the air but it doesn't cast a shadow anywhere.
- Continuity: When Sanchez whips Lupe in the beginning of the movie, he strikes her back vertically with the whip. Later on in the movie, the scars on her back are horizontal only.
- Continuity: When Killifer hits the van driver with the shotgun, there's already blood on his face before he gets hit.
- Revealing mistakes: If you pay close attention, the iguana does not move at any time throughout the entire movie. It is obviously fake.
- Revealing mistakes: When Bond is breaking into Krest's laboratory, a shark comes out under the steps, knocks a platform loose, and holds its position vertically with its head above water for several seconds. Not only is the shark obviously fake, this is atypical behavior for a shark, not to mention the fact that a shark lacks the muscle balance to hold its body in a vertical position with its head above water for any period of time.
- Revealing mistakes: The maggots in Krest's laboratory do not move independently. You can tell there is some type of vibrating object underneath the maggots that is causing movement, as it looks very unnatural and it quite obvious.
- Continuity: When the Sentinel is finished being loaded with cocaine from the plane, you can see that the CCTV periscope has already been smashed on the sub. This doesn't happen for another minute or so after Bond begins to cut through the bags.
- Continuity: When Bond is hanging on the pontoon plane his hair is dry despite coming straight out of the sea.
- Continuity: Bond breathes in a large quantity of pure cocaine at the factory, yet he functions as normal afterwards.
- Revealing mistakes: Sanchez pays Killifer his $2 million bribe in a medium-sized suitcase, describing it as "all in $20 bills". A single suitcase is much too small to hold 100,000 banknotes.

- Continuity: SPOILER: Truman-Lodge is shot while carrying a briefcase under his right arm. He is then shown lying on the ground with the briefcase in his left hand.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Bond examines Della's body, her mouth goes from being open in one shot to being closed in the next.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Truman-Lodge is shot by Sanchez, he falls off to the side of the road, but when Bond makes his dramatic escape through the fire from Sanchez's henchmen, Truman-Lodge's body is shown lying in the road.
- Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: When the two tankers collide and explode in front of Sanchez' car, the driver slows down and pulls over to the right. We then cut to Truman-Lodge and Sanchez in the back of the car, but the background outside is still moving by at breakneck pace, showing they are still traveling fast and in a straight line.
- Continuity: SPOILER: After the two tankers collide and Sanchez drives away in the last tanker. In one shot just before the explosion the two drivers are in front of the flaming tanker, one passed out. Seconds later in the next shot (not enough time to get away) when the tankers explodes, both drivers have disappeared.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When Sharkey's body is shown hanging on the boat, blood on his chest appears and disappears between scenes.
- Factual errors: SPOILER: To avoid the Stinger missile, Bond gets the tractor trailer up onto one side, and then does a bit of fancy maneuvering to keep the vehicle under control. However, the tractor is pulling a liquid tanker. Liquid surges, and, in this case, it would surge to the low side of the tank, causing a massive weight shift, and making it impossible to keep the truck upright.
- Factual errors: SPOILER: When Bond releases the trailer to send it crashing into the other tankers, he simply reaches for the pin on the fifth wheel and pulls it. However, as any experienced trucker can attest to, trailers cannot be uncoupled from a fifth wheel unless there is no pressure on the latches inside the fifth wheel. With the trailer's axles hanging over the cliff, there would've been too much pressure applied to the latches inside the fifth wheel for Bond to be able to uncouple the trailer from the truck.
- Continuity: SPOILER: When the two trucks are side by side in the final action sequence, one truck is pushed by Bond into the cliff face. The driver of the truck that survives is clearly visible wearing the henchman outfit (overalls and red hat), however this truck is 'driven' by Bond. In a few frames he is seen hopping out of the crashed truck.
