• Anachronisms: DX-coded film was not invented until the 1980s.
  
  
• Continuity: When Tereza is challenged in the bar by the drunken youth, the bottle of Orange disappears and then reappears.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: When Teresa is taking pictures of Sabina, the movie camera is sometimes reflected off of lens of the photo camera.
  
  

• Continuity: When we first see Tereza taking photographs in Prague she is shown wearing her wedding ring, yet she and Tomas are not married at this point in the story.

• Anachronisms: While nowadays, many people in the Czech Republic wear wedding bands on the left hand, back in 1968 they would have worn them on their right hand regardless of their political stance. Both of the main characters are shown in the movie to wear their wedding bands on the left hand as they would have in the U.S., not Czechoslovakia.
