In a flashback, Barry's wife returns home early from a trip and finds a blonde in bra and panties who has obviously spent the night. In the same scene, Barry's friend, in his underwear, is laughing and hugging a woman in a slip.During a talk show scene, a caller claims to have raped several woman and describes his plans to rape again, while Barry tries to talk him out of it.One instance masterbation is used, mention about bi-sexuals, and lesbians.
Barry is shot to death in an extremely graphic scene at the very end of the movie.
Surprisingly not too much profanity; a few mild swearwords such as "asshole" and three or four instances of the "f" word, but not too violent. Alot of the discussion is used in a racist way sometimes, and the main character shouts at the callers in this film.
Characters smoke, one talk show guest is possibly high on drugs. At times, they mention different types of drugs.
There are several intense confrontations between Barry and his bosses and co-workers. A weeping caller says his girlfriend is dead. Another caller claims he has raped many women and plans to do it again. Barry is physically threatened by several callers. He opens a parcel which we are led to believe may contain a bomb; the contents are a large dead rat and a death threat note. When his ex-wife calls in and shares her feelings for him, he verbally attacks her. He delivers a scathing monologue, telling his listeners he hates them. Barry approaches his car at the end of the film man asks for his autograph and then shoots him point blank into his body many time. You see Barry twitching and falling to the ground as the camera zooms in his blood-spattered face.
