I first saw this film when i was in short pants and comfortable shoes with a singular pink sock eating from my Texas chili bowl and it is still as vivid in my memory now as it was back then! Looking back on it now I realise that Benjamen was obviously a god amongst mere mortals and johnny or john as i call him was a Christ type character, Oscar, the devil incarnate.
The scene when Oscar and his boys take an axe to poor johnny's metallic but yet life like face is far worse than anything you see in Saw, Hostel or the Passion of the Christ or any of those films. It truly is one of the most graphic and upsetting scenes in cinematic history, but johnny has none of that, with the inspirational Holding Out for a Hero in the background Johnny Five indeed is alive Better than the first one because this doesn't have Guttenberg in it...
