(1988) John Cleese writes, contributes a few directorial touches, and stars as frustrated barrister Archie Leach in the cult comedy of a double-crossing gang of jewel thieves, directed by Charles Crichton. Manipulative moll Wanda (Jamie Lee Curtis) seduces Leach to find a cache of jewels hidden by his client, Michael Palin is a stuttering, animal loving hit man and Kevin Kline earned an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor as philosopher psychopath Otto, a self-obsessed lothario with a jealous streak where it came Wanda.
