Another attempt at horror-comedy that just doesn't work. One thing about this film, if you didn't know when it was made, you'd start watching it and immediately think "eighties". At any rate, mom & dad haul the kids and their friends up to a remote town in the mountains, there's something not right about this place and they all can sense it, except mom & dad, who are more than happy to polka their lives away. There are elements of "comedy" and horror to this film, but they certainly don't mix well. There is an eerie sequence that seems to have been filmed at a BBQ during the summer, wherein folks get killed, which may well have just been from another film entirely. The comedy is pretty uninspired, limp, and stupid for the most part, there's some gore and scary parts that would have been more interesting had the limp comedy also not been thrown in too. The ending is entirely confusing and leaves you wondering, but then again, so does most of the rest of this flick. Probably not worth your time, unless you're just plain curious.
