Writer/director Gregory Lamberson sent along a quartet of character sheets from Slime City Massacre, his recently wrapped sequel to his 1988 gruefest. Featuring designs by Nicholas John Morgan Anderson and a logo by Eric Mache, they depict the characters played by Fangoria Radio’s own Debbie Rochon, Jennifer Bihl, Kealan Patrick Burke and Lee Perkins; check ’em out below.

Event Report: Zombie , Isle Of The Damned

8 November 2009 | shocktillyoudrop.com | See recent shocktillyoudrop news »

Being a newbie to the great city of Los Angeles, I'm always on the hunt to partake in whatever horror related event or screening is happening in town. Thankfully, for this particular weekend, the fiends over at Brutal Cinema had us covered by putting together a special double feature screening of Lucio Fulci's classic Zombie , paired up with the premiere of the new flick Isle Of The Damned . New Bev projectionist Adam Trash kicked off the evening with a trailer reel that consisted of promo commercials for Street Trash , I Spit On Your Grave and The Beyond ; titles that all definitely fit in with the overall aesthetic of the evening's event. Immediately following the trailers, we were treated to a vintage 35mm print of Zombie , a personal favorite of mine that up until last... »

Roy Frumkes Talks Street Trash 3

15 October 2009 11:04 AM, PDT | HorrorYearbook | See recent HorrorYearbook news »

In the latest webisode of Slime City Survivor -- a video serious chronicling the making of Greg Lamberson's film Slime City Massacre, currently in post-production -- Street Trash writer Roy Frumkes discusses his plans for a Street Trash 3! While there is no Street Trash 2, Frumkes thinks that 20-years is too long to make a direct sequel, so he plans to skip part 2 and go straight to part 3. In the very interesting 8 minute long webisode, Frumkes talks about The Substitute franchise, Street Trash and of course Slime City 2. If you want to skip to the Street Trash 3 news it is at the 3:52 mark, but I recommend watching the entire video. To see all the episodes of Slime City Survivor visit our Scm page, or subscribe to the official YouTube page. The webisodes include daily production updates, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins, Brooke Lewis, Lloyd Kaufman and more. »

Joe Lynch's Latest Episode of Body Count

17 September 2009 | shocktillyoudrop.com | See recent shocktillyoudrop news »

G4's just posted their latest offering of Body Count , a genre based web series hosted by Wrong Turn 2 director Joe Lynch. In this episode, "Classic Horror Movies for the End Of Summer", Lynch profiles and recommends three of his favorite goriffic horror flicks - Roy Frumkes and Jim Muro's infamous Street Trash , the legendary Hong Kong shocker Ebola Syndrome (Yi boh lai beng duk) and Chris Sivertson's The Lost adapted from the Jack Ketchum novel. Ok, that last one isn't really "goriffic", but it is disturbing and highly recommended, even by this writer. Check out the episode below: Video Game - E3 2009 - Attack of the Show »

Street Trash (DVD Review)

10 September 2009 9:24 AM, PDT | Fangoria | See recent Fangoria news »

I’m letting you in on a secret I’m not proud to admit. I'd never seen Street Trash.  Why the shame?  Well, if you’ve read the required horror viewing list, you’d know that Street Trash is near the top of that list.  I have no excuse for not seeing it, but hopefully this review will rectify this huge oversight.

A low budget indie horror, 1987’s Street Trash is a hilarious Technicolor gorefest.  Set against a pre-gentrified Brooklyn, Street Trash is what would happen if Abel Ferrara did a comedy.  Filmed on the Brooklyn-Queens border, where apparently no completed buildings existed, Street Trash is an extremely bleak and disturbing slapstick comedy.

The film centers on a junkyard inhabited by alcoholics, runaways, crazies, and deviants.  The chorus is kept in check by deranged Vietnam vet, Bronson (Vic Noto), who strangely resembles Zach Galifianakis.  When a local liquor store unearths »

Troma founder Lloyd Kaufman is leaving Tromaville to visit the post apocalyptic world of Slime City by making a cameo in Slime City Massacre -- Greg Lamberson's sequel to his 1988 film. I don't want reveal what exactly Lloyd's role will be, but lets just say he will be involved in a very important scene in the film. Kaufman will be joining Tromeo and Juliet's Debbie Rochon, Street Trash writer Roy Frumkes, and Carnies' actor Lee Perkins as part of the cast. »

Name That Scene: This is your Life

For those of you…I mean All of you that listen to Fangoria Radio Friday nights on Sirius 108/Xm 139 I have a favor to ask. One thing I’ve gathered from talking with a lot of you on Twitter and when you call into the show is that you’re not just sitting on the couch watching horror movies and listening to our little show. Well, maybe that’s what you’re doing every Friday but the other six days of the week it seems that most of you are busy building something; being creative in some capacity whether its film or music or…ahem…writing. So children of the night I was hoping to start, with a little help from my fiends, a little bit of a brainstorming session.

Due to the overwhelming response to the now classic tracks known as “Tony’s Bloody Stump” and “Debbie’s Back! »

Slime City Massacre ready to roll; early FX pics

19 June 2009 12:12 PM, PDT | Fangoria | See recent Fangoria news »

Filmmaker Gregory Lamberson passed along an update on Slime City Massacre, the sequel to his 1988 flick Slime City, which is gearing up to shoot next month. He additionally sent some photos of a makeup FX test session with actress Jennifer Bihl and a postapocalyptic concept image; you can see those below.

“I developed this project simultaneously with another one called Deadly Rites,” Lamberson says. “I suspected that the executive producer on Deadly Rites was jerking my chain, and when my suspicion proved correct, I had Slime City Massacre ready to go. I knew that the only way I was going to get another feature off the ground was to say, ‘I’m going to make this film come hell or high water. Somehow I’ll raise the money and begin production on July 11.’ I was only off by one day—we’re shooting on July 10!”
