Coreys Haim and Feldman reunite in Lost Boys 4

7 November 2009 5:43 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Yes, you read that right – Lost Boys 4…

Despite a critical mauling it received the Lost Boys sequel subtitled The Tribe released last year did well enough to warrant a third film in the series, which you can read about here.

It seems we’re overrun with vampire franchises these days, and certainly each generation reinvents the myth and twenty years ago we had the seminal 80s flick The Lost Boys, and thanks to the lure of the nostalgia market we’ll be seeing a Lost Boys film every year from now until the end of time.

So says MovieWeb, who in their conversations with Messrs Haim and Feldman, confirmed that while Haim wont’ be joining Feldman’s Edgar Frog in Lb 3 he will return to reunite the team in the fourth film, though with a difference (which keen viewers of Lost Boys 2 will know about).

Eminem Starring in Shady Talez, a 3D Anthology Horror Movie

6 November 2009 3:04 PM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

Aww shit dawg! Eminem, aka Marshall Mathers, will star in Shady Talez, his first feature film in seven years (though he did appear briefly in Judd Apatow's Funny People earlier this year). The project, with a style described as "The Twilight Zone meets Creepshow," is a new 3D anthology horror film. Marvel will be publishing a four-issue comic book series based on Shady Talez in 2010 as well. Mathers will produce and star in multiple roles in the film, which will give an "urban wink" to genre classics such as Christine, Aliens, and The Lost Boys. The film is being produced by the newly formed D.J. Classicz/Davis Entertainment. According to Screen Daily, where this news comes from, the script for Shady Talez is being co-written by Dallas Jackson (who is also writing The Last Dragon remake for Sony) and Kevin Grevioux (creator of the Underworld franchise). They didn't reveal much else, »

Eminem to Star in Multiple Roles in 3D Anthology Horror Movie Shady Talez

6 November 2009 11:14 AM, PST | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

Nationwide, Juggalos are already boycotting in parking lots, in addition to breeding. Eminem, the 37-year-old adolescent rapper, will follow up his $116 million grossing fictionalized biopic, 8 Mile, from 2002 with a 3D anthology horror movie horrifically entitled Shady Talez. The project has kicked around for a while, and is now part of a synergy package that includes a same-named four-issue comic book series due 2010 from Marvel Icons. The above image comes from that. Slim Shady will produce and star in multiple roles in the film, which will give an "urban wink" to genre classics such "as Christine, Aliens, and The Lost Boys" in the style of George Romero's Creepshow. What, no characteristic ode to Irreversible or Twisted Nerve? A director was not announced. According to Screen Daily, the script is being written by co-producer Dallas Jackson (Uncle P starring Master P, The Last Dragon remake) and Kevin Grevioux, who created the »

Feldman 'Gutted' About Marriage Split

2 November 2009 5:26 PM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Actor Corey Feldman has opened up about his marriage split, telling fans on his blog he's "gutted" about the break-up.

The Lost Boys star has confirmed his wife Susie has filed for divorce and custody of the couple's son, Zen - just before what would have been the pair's seventh wedding anniversary.

Feldman writes, "Although I am heartbroken by her recent actions, all that really matters is the health and wellbeing of Zen. I vow to never leave his side for a large bit of time. He is my breath and my life, and I cannot be without him.

"I have had him at the hotel with me for the last few nights and it has been so nice, I am crying as I write this because I have to let him go back tomorrow, I wish I didn’t have to. But although scorned, I truly want what's best for my child and if that means I have to bite my lip through tough negotiations I will do it. Anything for Zen!!!!!" »

Corey Haim to return to the screen

American Sunset will hold its red carpet, world premiere at the Laemmle Theatre in Santa Monica on November 9, 2009, and will be followed by a private after party where fans can meet and greet their teenage crush. Apparently Corey's personal website is the place to secure tickets to this exclusive premiere event.   Ever since his boyish face and cheeky grin burst onto cinema screens in the 1980s, Corey Haim has been synonymous with movie escapades that involve narrow escapes and near misses, usually alongside his ‘80s sidekick Corey Feldman. Their screen relationship included films such as Dream A Little Dream, License To Drive and vampire classic The Lost Boys among others, as well as the more recent reality TV show The Two Corey's, which used as its title their eighties stardom nickname and amazingly made it to two seasons. »

Feldman Protects Son From Limelight

31 October 2009 7:06 AM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Actor Corey Feldman refuses to allow his young son to launch a movie career - because his own childhood was wrecked by fame.

Feldman shot to stardom in a string of blockbuster films in the 1980s, including Gremlins, Stand By Me, and The Lost Boys.

He has since battled drink and drug demons, and recently split from wife Susie after seven years - and he is adamant he wants to keep their five-year-old son, Zen, out of the spotlight.

He says, "With my son, I work very hard to keep him away form the press and media and I want an opportunity for him to lead as normal a life as possible. When he is 18, if he wants to act, that's his decision and I'll support him, but I would never want him to sacrifice his childhood. I didn't have one." »

Exclusive Video: Corey Feldman and Roger Corman Talk Splatter

30 October 2009 12:39 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Whenever you get two extremely talented filmmakers together both with huge followings you can run the risk of egos clashing and prima donna behavior, and god forbid you add a famous actor into that equation, you could be writing a recipe for disaster. However that was not the case when filmmaking legend Roger Corman, acclaimed director Joe Dante and fan-favorite actor Corey Feldman collaborated for the exclusive new web-series, Splatter; which begins airing on-line October 29th. Sponsored by Netflix and available to subscribers and non-subscribers alike, the series can be seen by going to www.netflix.com/splatter beginning October 29th with a second installment airing November 6th and the entire series concludes on Friday, November 13. But what's the catch, you say? Viewers will have the opportunity to vote on line for which characters they think should live and which should die, so they will actually have control over the outcome of the series. »

Video: Corey Feldman Talks Lost Boys 3: The Thirst

30 October 2009 10:49 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

If he never does anything else with the rest of his life at least Corey Feldman can say he was in four of the most beloved movies of the last thirty-years. Beginning with Gremlins in 1984 at the age of thirteen Feldman went on to star in classic films such as The Goonies and Stand By Me among other movies but it was his role as Edgar Frog in The Lost Boys that has kept in the hearts and minds of fans for decades. He reprised his role in last year's extremely successful direct-to-dvd release Lost Boys: The Tribe and it was recently announced that he would be appearing in a third film as well. We had the opportunity to speak with Feldman early this week and in light of the recent news that his wife and The Two Coreys co-star, Susie Sprague-Feldman has filed for divorce, he seemed upbeat »

The Crow: 15 Years Of Devil's Night

Our five-part Halloween Week retrospective on "The Crow" continues, celebrating the film's 15th anniversary with cast and filmmaker interviews that explore its origin and legacy. Check back each day this week for another installment of our "15 Years Of Devil's Night" series.

Part Four: Best. Soundtrack. Ever?

By Ryan J. Downey

"The Crow" soundtrack is quite possibly the greatest alt-rock compilation assembled in the '90s. Coupled with Graeme Revell's hauntingly moving score, bands like The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Machines Of Loving Grace perfectly complimented the movie's dark and romantic themes.

Even the bands who contributed cover songs selected material that lined up well with the flick, intentionally or not. Nine Inch Nails covered "Lost Souls," by one of The Crow creator James O'Barr's favorite bands, Joy Division. Rollins Band did a version of Suicide's "Ghost Rider," about the Marvel hero. Pantera »

Eminem Sampling Another Shady Tail ... I Mean Shady Talez

27 October 2009 5:40 PM, PDT | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

Rapper Eminem had pulled his nose out of Bruno's tail long enough to stick it right back into a new horror/hip-hop anthology film, Shady Talez!

Em will be joined by producers Dallas Jackson and John Davis in development of the anthology project.

"Shady Talez is a fictional horror comic book that literally sucks its reader into its very pages. Each horror story is a wink at an original classic such as Christine, Aliens, and The Lost Boys while Eminem puts his own dark spin on the genre, playing multiple characters and introducing new stories to the new horror generation."

Kevin Grevioux, the co-creator of the Underworld franchise and co-star of the first and third entries, is serving as writer. Shady Talez is due sometime in 2011.
