This is one twisted family. The 18 year old son Van is involved with his
father's live in lover, and his father's phone sex fantasy woman. The
family's story is told as if it is all recorded on video and played back
in
no particular order. The story is very compelling, Van is especially
endearing, but the movie is very strange. Still, I recommend
it.

one of those rare gems you find once in a blue moon. Totally
under-rated and under-appreciated, with a fascinatingly well told
story, great characters, strong ethnic flavor in North America, and
from a totally (at that time) unknown (Atom Egoyan). I knew it, right
there and then this guy would only do great films. It parallels
Spielberg's Jaws as a directorial debut. There is nothing to say, since
it is a visual media - words would only take away from the film. Get
it. See it. This moronic site requires 10 lines of text in order to
