Do they, or did they, have drive-ins in England? Because if they didn't or don't, I'm not sure where else this might have shown. Bloody New Year is a bloody mess. No, not because there's gore liberally splattered everywhere, it's just the "kitchen sink" approach to horror with as many cliches and ripped-off effects as it can get its bloody mitts on. It's not the worst movie I've ever seen and it does have a rather cool premise, which is that a plane that was carrying equipment that could "change the time-space continuum" or something like that, crashed on the island on New Years Eve, 1959. Along comes the usual bumbling group of young folks, who discover this seemingly deserted hotel all decked out for the holidays (in mid-July?)and strange things begin to occur. We have zombies. We have unexplained "monsters". We have things that move on their own. We have people from the past the warp in and out of the film. So we also have rip-offs of the Evil Dead, Nightmare on Elm St., Poltergeist, and possibly even Beetlejuice? Ha. Anyway, this is British, which proves they can make just as incoherent movies as the Italians. I kind of enjoyed it, but there's little in the way of gore or sense to this. Worth seeing for a laugh, I reckon.
