Trivia:
The scene where Brett bows in front of the mirror to reveal Wallace standing directly behind him is a homage to Dario Argento's film Tenebre (1982), which Michele Soavi was an assistant director on. moreGoofs:
Crew or equipment visible: When Alicia uses the Fire Extinguisher on Irving Wallace, he falls and grabs a power cable to climb back up. In the wide shot of Irving Wallace climbing back up, in the far right corner of the frame, you can clearly see a cable, hoisting him up as he climbs up the cable. moreQuotes:
Ferrari: It's looking fine just the way it is, i think you've pushed the erotic angle about as far as you can.Peter: the "Erotic Angle"? Mr Ferrari, where have you been all these years?

Michele Soavi should really be proud of this film considering the raves and thumbs up rewarded by fans across. For those of you who are not familiar with this director this was his first debut at directing since he was at first an Assistant Director and protégé to both Dario Argento and Lamberto Bava on films like Tenebre, Demons, A Blade in the Dark, Opera and Phenomena.
Stagefright infuses mostly style towards camera work on a technical scale with music and acting being secondary. Although the story can be fairly predictable, it still does manage to catch important suspense as there are moments to being treated as if the camera and you are one.
Although I won't watch too often it's still a brilliant attempt at what he achieve as a director and proud to know he accomplish such features as fully fledged director.
Very good.
