I remember watching Friday the 13th the series on a little black and white hand-held television that my father had bought for me when I was 10-13 years old. It used to air at 11:30pm on Sunday nights, and I was supposed to be asleep at the time, so I'd hide under my bed covers and watch it with headphones on. I am not kidding you! I cannot say how many sleepless Sunday nights I had due to being scared out of my mind after watching one of those shows...
Of course that was 15years ago, so maybe I was a little more naive, innocent and impressionable back then. I suppose the fear of my parents catching me up so late watching television added to my anxiety....
I would absolutely appreciate this program being reissued on DVD. I see an online petition has been started, and already dozens of people like myself agree. I am convinced that anyone who actually saw the show when it originally aired wouldn't hesitate to spend a good chunk of change to obtain the whole series. The fact that 15years later, people have such fond memories of this show is surely is a testament to its enduring power and superior quality!
