Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

A man is seen fully nude from behind

A character goes into an "S&M" bar but nothing explicit is shown

Two characters are about to have sex; brief glimpses of the sides of her breasts are shown, along with both of them writhing and moaning a bit- he sticks his tongue down her shirt

A young man has his pants pulled down and you see his nude buttocks

Many young men are seen shirtless throughout

A young man walks around in skimpy underwear in several scenes

Violence & Gore

Freddy pulls the skin on his head off, exposing his brain

Freddy causes a man to be beaten with sports equipment (no blood or gore); later, the same man is murdered in a shower room - slashed by Freddy's claw in the back (blood is shown in the slash marks and squirts from the shower heads)

Freddy comes out of a character's body; a little blood is seen, along with the character's body "peeling" away

Freddy massacres teenagers at a party; one young man is shown with a bloody stomach, one young woman burns behind a bush, one young man is stomped to death and bleeds from his mouth, and another young man is thrown and crashes into a barbecue grill

Freddy is set on fire and his face slowly melts off

Profanity

Some curse words, including 2 F-words, but they are few and far between.

There is some drinking scenes by adults in a bar scene

Underaged teenagers drink at a party

The whole film is meant to be intense and very frightening. All of the death scenes listed under Violence/Gore are disturbing.
