• Continuity: The clock in the library changes during the same scenes throughout the movie.
  
  
• Continuity: Brian's shoes change often throughout the movie. This is especially notable when there is the shot of all five kids' feet when they are deciding where to go in the hallways and then changed later when he falls out of his chair.
  
  
• Continuity: Bender's arm when he's motioning for Brian to move.
  
  

• Continuity: When Mr. Vernon comes in and asks why is the door closed, you can see the chair he later uses to keep the door open, near the corner of the wall. When he goes back to get it, the chair has moved a foot to the right.
  
  
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In the beginning of the movie Bender has two matching shoes, in the gym he has one white shoe and one black. In that same scene he loses one shoe, but a scene later he has two matching shoes again. This is because he's stolen a pair of shoes and only puts one on, then later the other.
  
  
• Continuity: The position of the chair after Bender takes the screw from the door.
  
  
• Continuity: During the discussion the Club has while sitting on the floor, Claire's hairstyle changes back and forth from one shot to the next.
  
  
• Continuity: While Bender is crawling through the ceiling, you can see the chain for his wallet while he's crawling in both directions (flipped shot); the first scene his lips are moving (telling his joke), the second scene, they are not moving.
  
  
• Continuity: Claire's father puts his hand on Claire's shoulder when they're in the car. In the next shot his hand has jumped to her other shoulder.
  
  
• Continuity: During the scene where Principal Vernon is caught looking through confidential files by Carl the janitor, the position of Carl's arm as the two discuss the situation changes from on top of the cabinet to inside the drawer with each cut.
  
  
• Continuity: When the principal and Carl are talking in the filing room, the label card on the file drawer is slanted up and sideways. In the next shot it is perfectly down, then switches back to up and slanted.
  
  
• Continuity: When the principal leaves the library after hearing the loud noise, the toilet seat protector is stuck in his pants. The scene directly after has no toilet seat protector anywhere.
  
  
• Continuity: The pimples on Claire's chin appear and disappear throughout the movie.
  
  
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In the opening sequence, there is a newspaper with a wrestling article featuring Andrew "Clarke". In the credits, Andy's last name is spelled "Clark".
  
  
• Continuity: After Claire puts on her lipstick, she puts the cap on and puts it in her purse. In the next shot, it is in her hands again, and then she puts it away a second time.
  
  
• Factual errors: In the end credits, "Illinois Film Commission" is misspelled "Illinois Film Comission."
  
  
• Continuity: When Bender is looking through Claire's stuff, he brushes his teeth with a makeup brush while looking in a pocket mirror. He puts down the brush on the table and looks in the mirror. He then sets the mirror on the table before tossing the brush onto the table a second time.
  
  
• Continuity: Principal Vernon brings Bender into the janitors closet after he is caught in the gym, and while in the closet he insists that Bender punches him by pointing at his own chin. When camera angles change you will see that his hands alternate while pointing at himself, from left hand to right hand.
  
  
• Continuity: When Bender sticks the knife into the chair it is leaning slightly to the left side of the screen. The movie cuts back to Andy and back to Bender where Allison steals the knife that is now leaning to the right side of the screen.
  
  
• Continuity: When Claire is eating her sushi, her left hand is on the table. After John questions her "ability" to eat the sushi, Claire's hand is immediately up at her head.
  
  
• Continuity: Before Allison tells Andrew about how her parents ignore her, her left eye make-up is smeared. While Andrew is questioning what's wrong, it isn't smeared as much. When there is a close-up of Allison's face, it is back to normal.
  
  
• Miscellaneous: At the end of the film when Brian was writing the essay/letter, he kisses the paper. You can clearly see that there is nothing written on the paper.
  
  
• Continuity: When Brian is talking about the banquet at the end of his physics club, the camera cuts to Allison smiling at him while she's drawing and she's sitting up. When the camera cuts to Claire a second later, Allison is resting her head on the desk.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mr. Vernon is chasing John Bender around the school, in one of the shots where Bender turns the corner, there is a large stand-up bulletin board and a small table to the very bottom right of the screen. When Mr. Vernon turns this same corner, the small table is gone.
  
  
• Continuity: When Allison takes her lunch out of her lunch bag there isn't a plastic bag filled with Cap'n Crunch, but a few seconds later it appears there.
  
  
• Continuity: After Claire wipes the lipstick from her lips, it reappears and disappears during the rest of the scene.
  
  
• Continuity: When they are having lunch the cans of Coca-Cola change between Coca-Cola Classic and "New" Coke.
  
  
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In a scene in which the kids are running through the halls of the school, they run past a window that seemingly reveals it is dark outside. In actual fact, they are running past doors leading into classrooms, in which the lights are turned off because it is the weekend.
  
  
• Errors in geography: The film takes place in Chicago, but as they go through the school, you see the flag of the state of Georgia.
  
  
• Continuity: When Bender is staring at Allison while she bites her nails, his white shirt had been pulled low, exposing a part of his chest. In the next shot of him, seconds later, when he has obviously not moved, his white shirt has been pulled back up.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Bender is sneaking to and from the library after being locked in the closet, it appears that he is crawling along the ceiling tiles. However, the metal for the framing is thin aluminum - not strong enough to hold that much weight, much less the pressed paper fibers of the ceiling tiles themselves.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Right before Carl leaves the library he tells the students that the library clock is 20 minutes fast. When his office clock hits 11:30 Vernon goes into the library to tell the students it's time for lunch. The library clock reads around 11:33 when he gets there. If the clock was really 20 minutes fast it should have read something around 11:50.
  
  
• Continuity: During the scene where everyone is looking through each other's wallets and purses, Allison dumps out the entire contents of her purse. Moments later when she jumps up and stomps away, about half the contents are on the cushion and the other half in her purse.
  
  
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Throughout the movie it appears that Bender is wearing Claire's diamond earring in his left ear, even though she doesn't give it to him until the very end of the film. However, it is actually an ear cuff that is worn anywhere above the earlobe on the outer part of the ear. It is clearly seen when he puts on her earring.
