The remake-TV-series, that started 50 years later, than the original release date, is a worthy remake of the sensational Hitchcock-work.
The small series are remade originally, with new actors and directors.
Even though a remake of any of Hitchcock's work will never reach the brilliance as the original, the episodes are quite enjoyable: the usual suspense, the great characters and the well made camera shots, and colored - for people who like to see those shows, but couldn't deal with b/w, a tremendous step. Especially the episode directed by Tim Burton, what perhaps let him get a foot in the door of directing, is wonderful. Probably the best! All the classic episodes, that we loved, appear again, including "Bang You're Dead" and "The Man From the South", that proves its quality with Hitchcock-blondes as Kim 'Novak and Tippi Hedren. Melanie Griffith, the daughter of Tippi Hedren, has a cameo here.
If you ever get the opportunity to watch the show, don't hesitate to do so, because you think Hitchcock-remakes ain't good. Hilarious Show!
