When this pilot script was being considered at NBC, an executive wrote the note "MTV Cops" to summarize the show. That nickname stuck.

Goofs:

Factual errors: In this first episode of the show, the judge refers to a recommendation by the State Attorney's Office. However, after the first episode, the characters frequently refer to the "Assistant D.A." or "District Attorney," which is incorrect. In Florida, prosecutors are referred to as Assistant State Attorneys.

The Best pilot ever made

Miami Vice the pilot Brother's Keeper is probably the best episode in TV series,here it's all begin,how Sonny and Rico meet,the opening main title,everything.Here we meet Sonny,Ricardo,Gina,Trudy,Lt.Lou Rodriguez,Calderone how it begin's,everything.The story begins,were Sonny works undercover to find Columbian drug lord,but somebody blows up the car and kill's Sonny's friends,Eddie and Corky,so he try to move on,in meantime Ricardo Tubbs comes to Miami,to find Columbian drug lord Calderone who kills three week's earlier his brother Rafael,later Crockett and Tubbs they meet by there meeting,but when cops come's,Tubbs runs away with his speed boat,so Sonny chase him with his car and he jump on his boat,and he fought's with him,later he find's that he's a cop from New York,later they become partners and they go both against the same guy,on the end they find the lick in there apartment and on the end became a showdown with Calderone's men but before this,when they were ready was great soundtrack performed by Phil Collins:In The Air Tonight,on the end they get Calderone,but some judge bail's him out from jail,so he escapes with his airplane,so Crockett and Tubbs go empty,then ends the show.I'can say only one thing,probably the best pilot in the first season in Miami Vice.
