Sandra:
Do *you* know something, Vince? As soon as we deliver this video job, we're heading straight for Moorea, one of the hundred and thirty Polynesian islands. Alright, the general consensus here is that this movie is "Great for Cooper Fans!". While I agree, being a huge, life long Alice Cooper fan who loves just about anything that he does (except for that damn Fresh Blood song...), I also feel that this movie has something more to offer. While watching it, I didn't find myself thinking "wow, look, it's Alice, he's so cool" at all. Because of the voice dubbing, I was able to completely forget that it was Alice I was watching, and I got more into the character of Vincent Raven.
I remember watching this movie when I was 10 or 11. The reason I rented it was because I was a huge fan, and I wanted to see him. I remember the movie scaring the ever living out of me. I don't even think I made it through the whole movie. Now it, of course, doesn't scare me at all. It still does have great atmosphere though. There is some really cool lighting and cinematography to be seen here. The movie is pretty intense in some scenes, while not taking itself, or the genre for that matter, too seriously at any point. I bought this movie because I am a Cooper fan, and because I remember it from my childhood, but I ended up finding a rare, lost gem.
Please watch this movie and give it an honest chance. It's cheesy, but I love cheese!
