After working together in the classics "Mean Streets" and "Taxi Driver", Harvey Keitel and pal Robert De Niro are back together. Millions of cinephiles would probably rejoice at the news that Harvey Keitel and Robert DeNiro, who worked together in the classics "Mean Streets" and "Taxi Driver", will be back together soon, but the excitement would most likely be dampened by the news that the two legends will be working on the third installment of "Meet The Parents". Far, far from Martin Scorsese's tortured and fascinating world... In "Little Fockers", Ben Stiller and Teri Polo are back, of course, as are Blythe Danner and the hilarious Owen Wilson, while Jessica Alba and Laura Dern will join the cast for the first time. Keitel and De Niro have also worked together on movies that have nothing to do with Scorsese: in the dark "The Bridge of San Luis Rey", the »

"Just this one time! Too long to do it again!"
And with that tongue-in-cheek introduction by the world's greatest rock frontman, the first — and probably only — full album performance of Bruce Springsteen's 1980 double-album The River began at New York City's Madison Square Garden. In an arena most often populated by athletes half his age, this minister of rock and roll — armed with a black vest and his signature yellow Fender — preached to 30,000 devoted congregants whose enthusiasm for the show was matched only by his own.
Prefaced only by the ultra-new "Wrecking Ball" at the top of the show, the Boss and his band launched into the 20 song opus of love and dreams and youth in Jersey. Although full album performances aren't new to the E Street Band, The River had never been among them. The album's odd mix of down-tempo, heartbreaking ballads like the title track and "Point Blank »

"I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse." Al Martino, the goombah behind perhaps the most famous line in movie history, has died at 82 in his native Pennsylvania, according to his publicist. Despite a five-decade music career that included a handful of hits ("Volare," "Can't Help Falling in Love"), Martino is destined to be remembered as Johnny Fontane in The Godfather. The Sinatra-esque singer is granted a big Hollywood break by Marlon Brando's Don Vito Corleone, who uses his power of persuasion to convince a stubborn movie producer to hire Fontane, at the expense of the producer's prized horse. 'Here In My Heart' singer Al Martino has passed away in Philadelphia, aged 82. The American, who was born Alfred Cini, famously scored the first UK No.1 when the charts were introduced by the New Musical Express in 1952. 'Here In My Heart' spent nine weeks at number one, a record which has only been beaten four times since. Despite falling out of commercial favour during the rise of rock 'n' roll, he continued to score Billboard chart success in the '60s and his most recent album Style was released in 2000. Martino's other hits included 'Spanish Eyes', 'Volare' and 'Can't Help Falling In Love'. (more) »

The new Michael Jackson single, "This Is It," debuted online at midnight on Monday (October 12), with some instantly speculating that the heartstring-tugging song could become one of the late pop star's best-selling singles of all time. The spare, mid-tempo love ballad, which was reportedly recorded during the sessions for his 1991 Dangerous album, finds Jackson in classic voice, singing in his clear falsetto along to finger snapping, a subtle jazzy piano and swelling strings, as his brothers, the Jacksons, provide ethereal backing vocals.
For almost four minutes, Jackson weaves one of his pleading tales of unrequited love, opening with the lyrics "This is it, here I stand/ I'm the light of the world, I feel grand/ Got this love I can feel/ And I know, yes, for sure, it is real. »

The new Michael Jackson song This Is It, released to coincide with the release of the film of the same name has been broadcast for the first time today. The track, release four months after the tragic death of the King of Pop, is getting mixed reviews but the fans seem to have fully embraced the new track which was actually recorded to be included on Jackson's 1991 album Dangerous.
Jackson's brothers provide backing tracks for the song, which will be placed over the end credits of Michael Jackson's This Is It, which is released on October 28th.
"This is it, here I stand, I'm the light of the world, I feel grand". Jackson sings "I never heard a single word about you/Falling in love wasn't my plan/I never thought that I would be your lover/Come on, please, just understand."

From the matching Tom Ford bowties to the unity sand ceremony to the 10-ft. ice sculpture bar, the wedding of American Idol's Jim Verraros to entrepreneur Bill Brennan on Sunday was planned down to the last detail. The couple, who wed at the Oak Brook Hills Resort in Illinois, exchanged self-penned vows under dragonwood trees decorated with white hydrangeas, orchids and roses. This Week: Falling In Love (1984) - DeNiro & Streep make a big movie about small moments in this great and under-seen romantic drama. When Robert DeNiro appeared on Inside the Actor’s Studio, he was, as are all of James Lipton’s guests on that program, subjected to the ten-question personality test that concludes each interview. When Lipton asked him “what is your favorite word?” DeNiro replied, “Refinement.” It is not surprising that this bit of ephemera became dislodged from my cerebral cortex while revisiting Falling In Love, the 1984 romantic drama in which DeNiro co-starred with Meryl Streep. The film is refinement at twenty-four frames per second. Its painstakingly naturalistic exploration of two people gradually realizing they are gaga for each other (even though they are both already married to someone else) finds depth ... »
