The 'I Need You' star, who collaborated with Chipmunk on the trio's upcoming album Against All Odds, claimed that the 18-year-old struggles to cope with pressure because of his age. "I totally understand. Everyone is burnt out but Chippy is younger. I worry about him," she told The Sun. Chipmunk's management yesterday (more) »

N-Dubz have claimed that they are not worried about the position their second album Against All Odds reaches in the charts. The 'I Need You' trio, who release the new record on November 16, said that they are more concerned about securing strong overall sales. "We're more worried about shifting units than any chart position. Album sales are so important," Dappy told the Daily Star. Tulisa added: "I learnt that last year with our debut album Uncle (more) »

Against all odds and Diane Sawyer's bitter blinks, Rihanna will allegedly "tell all" on Thursday's episode of Good Morning America and on Friday's edition of 20/20 . In the meantime, let's bandy the finer journalistic points of this occasion: For instance, will Rihanna mockingly don a baby-blue sweater and bow-tie? Will she too make a misguided Shakespearean reference, claw at an ugly patch of brunette in Sawyer's hair, and exclaim, "Out, out, damn spot?" And lastly, will she dedicate her new single "Russian Roulette" to "all the ladies out there getting hunted like deer"? Preview after the jump. »

N-Dubz have added innovative bonus material to the CD release of their new album Against All Odds to encourage physical purchases of the record. The album will host a new feature to enable an "augmented reality" performance within the sleeve, reports Music Week. Each CD will come with a piece of paper embedded with 3D pictures, which, when viewed through a webcam will project 3D images of the band that pop up and talk to the viewer, before launching into a performance of new single 'I Need You'. The booklet will also include (more) »

N-Dubz have labelled Us rapper Flo Rida a "plonker" after he shunned them at a recent meeting. The trio, who release new album Against All Odds on November 16, claimed that they were ignored when they tried to congratulate him on his success. "He is a plonker. The only reason that he's a plonker is because we said hello to him and he just had no time for us. Fazer tried to shake his hand and Flo Rida just ignored him. Flo Rida, you are a plonker," Dappy told Loaded. (more) »

N-Dubz star Tulisa has branded La Roux singer Elly Jackson a "tw*t" for comments she made about other acts in the record industry. The 21-year-old, who is currently putting the finishing touches to new N-Dubz album Against All Odds, criticised Jackson for her negative opinion on commercial urban music. "She basically said all women who do urban music and UK R&B dress too sexily, so when I heard that, I was insulted," she told Heat. "I'm not one to bitch. Even if I don't like someone, it's not my style to do that. Then I hear that she's dissing everyone and saying the music is crap. I mean, that's just rude. "Where was she brought up - in a barn? Steve Brookstein has claimed that he doesn't mind that his music career has not been a commercial success. The first X Factor winner, who scored a number one single with a cover of 'Against All Odds' in 2004, also admitted that he struggled to adapt to the changes that winning the reality series brought to his life. "I didn't want to undergo the changes that were forced upon me when I won The X Factor but that fear of change only lead to even more change. As a person who doesn't enjoy change this was a nightmare," he wrote in a blog posting. "It's was like being on the boat at the end of The Truman Show or entering the Matrix. Morpheus offers Neo two pills. The red pill will answer the question 'what is the Matrix?' and the blue pill, simply for life to carry on as before. »

Against all odds and desire, I have yet to see Zombieland. However, this hasn’t stopped the film from raking in some serious dough, hopefully a sign that more horror comedies will be headed our way.
The $25 million success of the film has led to obvious discussions of a potential sequel. Co-screenwriter Paul Wernicke had this to say on the subject:
“We would love it, and everyone involved creatively wants to do another one. Woody [Harrelson] came up to us after the final cut of the last scene and gave us a hug and said, ‘I’ve never wanted to do a sequel in the previous movies I’ve done until this one.’ “
Wernick and Rhett Reese plan to return to write a sequel if Zombieland 2 gets greenlit, and they claim that Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin and director Ruben Fleischer all have interest in a sequel.

Directed by: Ruben Fleischer
Cast: Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin
Running Time: 1 hr 25 min
Rating: R
Plot: An old burger at a Gas n’ Gulp gradually turns the entire world population into either zombies or zombie chow. Meet the only four survivors to this gruesome apocalypse: Columbus (Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Harrelson), Wichita (Stone), and Little Rock (Breslin).
Who’s It For? Horror fans unite! Wooooo!
Expectations: A tad high. Between the rockin’ trailer and Harrelson as a top zombie-killer, I honestly expected this to be some sort of second coming of horror.
Scorecard (0-10)
Actors:
Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee: Give me a moment to clean the drool off my keyboard…there, better. Harrelson is the greatest bad-ass, zombie murdering, Twinkie seeking, Southern drawling, snake skin coat wearing…hold on, sorry; more drool. Can this character be any cooler? The answer is a resounding hell no. Harrelson rocks »

Shooting of new Irish film 'The Runway' has got underway in Goleen and Schull, Co. Cork. The film is written and directed by Ian Power, produced by Macdara Kelleher and stars Mexican actor Demián Bichir (Che, Weeds) alongside Irish actress Kerry Condon (Angela's Ashes, Rome). The Runway' is loosely inspired by the true events whereby a South American pilot crashed his airplane into a field near Mallow in Cork in 1983. Against all odds, the people of a depressed town called Dromoleen come together to build a runway, fix up a plane and get the pilot home. And in doing so caught, briefly, the imagination of a nation. »

Until now, I figured it would be hard to top Ann Reinking’s execrable version of the Phil Collins song “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)” from the 1984 Oscar show.
But, you know, new L.A. Laker Ron Artest gives Reinking a serious run for her money with his melody-challenged stab at the "Titanic" chestnut “My Heart Will Go On.”
I might also consider all votes for Robert Goulet’s version of “You Light Up My Life” … but maybe that&rsq... »

Over the weekend, Todd Phillips’ Las Vegas super-comedy “The Hangover” narrowly missed becoming the top movie in the country (it was edged out by crotchety animated Ed Asner and “Up”) (Update: Looks like it prevailed after all!). The movie is a fantastically hilarious trip through a bachelor party gone horribly, horribly wrong and features guest appearances by a baby, a tiger and Mike Tyson, who plays air drums along with Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.” It’s yet another instance where somehow, some way, Phil Collins has been given a gold medal in the cool Olympics.
The oft-maligned Collins has had a rough time of it in the mainstream, selling millions of records but mostly getting dismissed as either “the guy who ruined Genesis” (not true) or “the guy who wrote those stupid songs for Disney’s ‘Tarzan’” (unfortunately true). But it seems like you can’t flick a »

I blame the T-800 model for my sudden 1984 enthusiasm. Don't worry, I think it's a 24 hour bug. It'll pass. See, I was watching The Terminator again yesterday (a few posts coming your way to lead up to Terminator Salvation). So, I started researching 1984 and if these old movie songs have to be stuck in my head today, they should also be stuck in yours.
I believe in sharing.
I often forget how long Diane Lane (Streets of Fire, the second clip) has been rocking the movie screens, don't you?
On the other hand, I do remember Jeff Bridges (Against All Odds, third clip) circa 1984, both bearded and un. He made quite an, um, impression in Starman. That's still one of the weirdest Oscar nominations ever for Best Actor. I love that he was nominated for his alien role but I didn't realize it was at the expense of another performance »
