NNNNN NNNNN NNNNN! Run! It's Leatherface with a chainsaw! NO! It's the sound of those 'Parasites'-and the're gonna get under your skin! You know how it goes. More than not, horror films tend to be more comical than scary. And that's the case with 'Parasite'...A sci-fi/horror film with effects by Stan Winston (Which mind you, are great! The scene with the saloon owner's head will blow your mind!) And the BEST special effect of ALL-Young Demi Moore. It's hard to keep your eyes of her in this one folks. Like a lot of late 70's/early 80's horror flicks, this one tends to be slow with minimal scares. A few good gross outs. And aside from Demi-the rest of the cast is annoying. Keep an eye out for the blonde nerd with glasses-That's Demi Moore's first husband Freddy Moore! Paul Glaudini as the male lead comes off more like a dorky junkie than a man with a critter growing inside his stomach. But it's popcorn time, coz here comes the 'hunter' with his porsche with hydraulic doors and light saber, the amazon woman that pops out of nowhere, not to mention this film is 3-D!! And don't forget the main reason you are here! The PARASITES!! Like a cross between a squid and a leech, these things pack a bite. They may move slow-but they will jump straight at ya through the air! And did I mention Demi Moore's lips?? It aint Kraft, but 'Parasite' sure is cheesy.
