Goofs:
Errors in geography: This movie is set in America. There is an American flag hanging in front of the police station. The police wear American police uniforms, with American flags on them. During one scene, an officer says "Why don't you let the state police handle this." Yet, during the scenes filmed in town, you can see signs all over the place that say "Hope" and "Kettle Valley" which are parts of the province of British Columbia, Canada, where this movie was filmed.

The adaptation of this novel to the big screen is a great accomplishment. The film is not only the beginning of one of the greatest action trilogies of all-time, but it charts the developments of its characters, something rarely done by an action movie. "First Blood" is a moving story about the realities of post-Vietnam America and is very underrated as a film.
