That’s because in just a few weeks, the second installment in the worldwide phenomenon, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”, is going to be released. Jim Carrey's new personal website: A visually stunning treat

6 November 2009 7:53 AM, PST | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Just in time for today's release of his big Disney holiday flick, remake A Christmas Carol, comedian Jim Carrey has relaunched his personal website, and let's just say, it's not uninteresting. In fact, echoing his sometimes-comedic sensibilities, it's got an almost fantastical, psychedelic vibe to it. I totally dig it. While it's actually little more than just career-ish type site featuring his spots on television and films, as well as a news feed and one pretty cool link to his Twitter account (unless I'm missing something more?), the visual elements of the new site are the absolutely stunning part. 'The Vampire Diaries' recap: Best friends, birthdays, and brawling

6 November 2009 5:45 AM, PST | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Sure, The Vampire Diaries is a show about blood, stakes and endless fog in the forest, but lest we forget, the show is also about teen angst and last night (your regular recapper, Mandi, had the night off) we took a ride on the roller coaster of post-adolescent drama — best friends, unrequited love, loss, loneliness, the works. All you need to know is that meant tons of pensive, forlorn staring. It was Stefan's birthday (his 162nd, but he doesn't look a day older than 25) and in town for the special occasion was one of his oldest friends — 350 years old to be exact — Lexie. »

On this week's Accidentally On Purpose, Billie and Zack got into their first fight(s) after living in plutonic bliss for so long.  During the "Fight Club," Billie got annoyed at Zack for failing to installing a toilet, while Zack got angry at Billie for eating his ribs.

Trust us, it was funnier than it sounds.  Don't believe us?  Just check out some of the Accidentally On Purpose quotes from the episode:

Olivia: So, you left halfway through your waxing, and now it looks like a seven?

Billie: Or, from my point of view, an L | permalink Billie: Why isn't the toilet where the hole is?

Zack: I don't want to get into complicated plumbing terms right now, but it turns out, I do not know how to install a toilet.

Celebrity "Teacup" Pig Craze: Will It Create an Abandoned Pig Epidemic?

30 October 2009 2:19 PM, PDT | TVGuide - Breaking News | See recent TVGuide - Breaking News news »

Is Paris Hilton helping to create an abandoned pig epidemic? One animal rights group says it could happen.

"People who think they are buying a pig that stays small are being fooled," says Yvonne McIntosh of Best Friends Animal Society.

Celebs including Hilton and Harry Potter's Rupert Grint contributed to a media craze after recently adopting supposed "micro-pigs."

Check out Today's segment on teacup pigs

"Unscrupulous breeders are breeding pigs less than a year old, and by the time the litter is born, the parents still are only about eight months old and far below their full size," said McIntosh, a potbellied pig expert. "The breeders tell folks that the piglets will ...

Cougar Town Review: "A Woman In Love (It's Not Me)"

29 October 2009 11:23 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

We're not entirely sure why, but when Jules found out that her young boyfriend, Josh, loved her, she had to dump him on last night's Cougar Town.

Perhaps that's our biggest issue with the show.  We're not really sure how we're supposed to get into these characters when they seem to have no depth or consistency.

Jules, who seems to not want one night stands and waits ten dates to sleep with Josh, suddenly dumps him when he develops feelings for her?  So when did she wants this to become a booty call?  Eleven dates in?  Cougar Town fans, correct us if we're wrong and sound off in the comments below!

Don't worry, we still find the show somewhat entertaining, and as usual have a detailed recap for you of "A Woman In Love (It's Not Me)."

‘Old Friends’ Might Be Our New Best Friends

29 September 2009 2:09 PM, PDT | Tubefilter.tv | See recent Tubefilter News news »

Tim Curcio just ran into Nick Ross, whom he hasn’t seen since high school and would have preferred it stay that way. Because, though Tim married his high school sweetheart, Nick took her virginity. Now Nick wants like hell to be Tim’s best friend, while Tim would rather see Nick get hit by a truck. That’s Old Friends, though Tim would never describe them as such. Bottom line, this show is good. From top to bottom: premise, performances, and production all conspire to create one solid web-series with some serious legs. Tim and Nick both from NYC’s Upright Citizen Brigade not only play Tim and Nick, but created and write the show. Their last project, Park Bench, was a crowd favorite last summer. And Matt Cady as Dp and producer deserves serious props for its beautiful production value and crisp look. The three of them partners in their production company, »

Vampire Party Looks Amusing Despite The Language Barrier

29 September 2009 7:58 AM, PDT | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

According to a friend who is, apparently, more connected within the bowels of the horror news industry than I am, the following trailer has been making the rounds online since late last year. I guess I’m late the party — no pun intended — because I’ve never heard of Stephen Cafiero and Vincent Lobelle’s 2008 French horror/comedy “Vampire Party” until today. And despite the language barrier that exists between myself and the endlessly amusing trailer posted below, I’m actually kind of jazzed about it’s upcoming November 17th release date, which comes courtesy of Dark Sky Films. As it turns out, I have absolutely nothing to do that day. Coincidence? Not really. Then again, I’m not exactly a social butterfly, either. I suppose that goes without saying. Here’s what it’s all about: Best friends and hardcore partiers Sam (Patrick Mille), Alice (Frédérique Bel), and Prune »

Nighy And Quick Are 'Best Friends'

31 August 2009 12:06 PM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Bill Nighy is still best friends with former partner Diana Quick, even though they split up last year after 27 years together.

The Love Actually star and the British actress met in 1981 on the set of a theatre production and have a 25-year-old daughter, Mary.

Nighy confirmed the break-up when it was revealed Quick had moved out of their shared London property last August.

But they have maintained a good friendship since the split - because they spent so long together, it's impossible not to remain a part of each other's lives.

Quick says, "I'd been married before I met him and had other important relationships, but until Bill I had never thought that I wanted to have a child. When Mary arrived I felt a mixture of emotions, including panic and overwhelming love. I felt a great sense of responsibility, not just towards my child but also towards her father.

"We don't live together any more, but we're still great friends. We both feel that you can't spend so many years with someone and then just walk away without a backward glance. We know each other far too well for that.

"Our parting is a reflection of the fact that life changes you and you have to accommodate those changes and allow people to be what they are. That is what being a mature person is all about." »
