Trivia:
The name of the high school in the film is Lamab High, a reference to the real shooting location of Lamar High School in Houston Texas. moreGoofs:
Crew or equipment visible: In the opening scene when the phone begins to shake from the "ringing" of the "breather" calling, you can see someone's forehead that's moving the phone on the table in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, black curly hair. (In the DVD version the shot is corrected so you cannot see the crewman.) moreQuotes:
[a blind man and a man in a wheelchair are arguing over the only handicapped parking space]Charles Ray: Hey, man, that's my parking space! Can't you see I'm blind?
Wheels: Hey, I'm more handicapped than you! I can't even make love to a woman.
Charles Ray: I can never find one! Now move it!
[Patti pulls in and steals the space]
Wheels: Hey, that's our parking spot!
Patti: Great physical beauty can be a handicap, too.

A 1980'S version of "Scream." I found myself laughing more than anything. "The Breather," made me laugh. I couldn't help it. I thought I was supposed to laugh. The guy is making snide remarks and breathing like a horny 12 year old for the entire movie. The cast is unknowns, which makes the movie a sort of cult classic for me. I enjoy the film because it's just plain old silly. It's not gory and it's not in the least bit scary. It makes fun, more than anything, how murder victims in horror movies end up. You'd never see a killer walking around with a bunch of Hefty trash bags as their weapon, but in this film it's used purely for the laughs and after a while it does get old, but "the Breather" will make you laugh enough to watch the whole thing. Good for a Halloween laugh.
