Originally, Taaffe O'Connell's character was supposed to be attacked and eaten by the giant worm. The change to her being raped by it was a last minute decision by the director. I loved this film. It's got all the things you could ever want to see in a B-film -- fairly good actors chewing scenery, convoluted but interesting plot, some violence, a fast pace, and the strangest scene of all time! If you can find it, you should definitely check it out.
