A somewhat good slasher film., 16 July 2008
7/10
Author: Moviefreak4653 from United States

I really didn't know what to expect with Prom Night all I really knew was that it was an old 80s slasher film with Jamie Lee Curtis. Also seeing how I like those old slasher films so I thought id like this.I did I thought it was somewhat good, gotta say I've seen better and I've seen worse.Well, it seemed very cheesy at times, and had a lot of stuff that seemed a bit unnecessary(like the over use of dancing and high school drama). Also at the beginning the acting from all the kids was very poor, and the killer seemed a bit like a spaz at times. Also it felt like it needed more to the slasher formula, like more people needed to be killed off. But, the chase scenes were kinda cool and its tone of revenge seemed believable and I liked the twist ending. So overall I really think you would not be missing out on anything great if you decide not to see this, but its worth at least 1 viewing.
