This was filmed at the same time as "The Blues Brothers", which created a conflict for Paul Shaffer. At the urging of Lorne Michaels, Shaffer chose to work on "Gilda: Live". I have been a huge Gilda fan forever and if you really want a taste of her humor and see her most famous characters, then this is definitely the video to rent. This is as close as we can get to a movie solely about her!!
