No. Friday the 13th is based on a script by American screenwriter Victor Miller, inspired by the success of John Carpenter's "slasher movie", Halloween, released two years previous. Due to the box office success of Friday the 13th, 11 more movies were made, leading to what has become known as the Friday the 13th franchise. These movies include: Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981), Friday the 13th Part III (1982), Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984), Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985), Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (1986), Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988), Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989), Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993), Jason X (2001), and Freddy vs. Jason (2003). A remake of the first movie,/tt0758746 was released in 2009. A fan film, Cold Heart of Crystal Lake, was also released in 2003. A novelization of Friday the 13th, by Simon Hawke, was released in 1987, along with numerous novelizations of subsequent movies, young adult novels, comic books, board and video games, toys, and a TV series, "Friday the 13th " that ran from 1987 to 1990.

Camp Crystal Lake is referred to by the locals as "Camp Blood" and said to have a death curse. In 1957, a boy drowned in the lake. In 1958, two counselors were murdered. There have been numerous unexplained fires, and when they tried to reopen the camp in 1962, they found the water was bad.

Even if it could be considered a continuity error, there's two possible in-story character rationales for this: (1) Brenda (Laurie Bartram) wasn't only brushing her teeth; after drinking beers with the other counselors, she would have wanted to use the toilet as well, and (2) the plumbing to the cabins was questionable, considering that they were busy fixing up the place.

Either she is not completely dead or her head is just settling.

Alice (Adrienne King) tries to run from Mrs Voorhees (Betsy Palmer), who has now begun to exhibit the personality of her dead son, but she encounters more bodies. Alice tries to hide in the kitchen, but Mrs Voorhees finds her. She knocks out Mrs Voorhees with a frying pan and runs down to the lake, but Mrs Voorhees follows and tries to attack her with a machete. They roll around on the ground, biting and socking each other. Alice finally breaks free, picks up the machete, and beheads Mrs Voorhees. She then gets into one of the canoes and paddles out in the lake. The next morning, the police see her lying in the drifting canoe. Alice begins to wake up, but Jason suddenly rears up from the water and tips her canoe into the lake. In the final scene, Alice awakens in the hospital. She is informed that everyone else is dead. When she asks whether they got the boy in the water, the officer claims to have not seen a boy. "Then he's still out there," Alice exclaims with a look of fear in her eyes.

No, because when this movie was made, there were no plans to resurrect Jason in the sequels. All the victims in this movie were killed by Mrs. Voorhees.

Yes there is a longer version available. To obtain an R-Rating from the MPAA the original theatrical version had to be cut slightly. Until 2009, this was the only version available in the USA. It was released on Laserdisc, VHS and DVD. Because of the fact that "Friday the 13th" was released by another publisher in Europe (Warner instead of Paramount) the European version was uncut. In 2009, with the remake hitting the cinemas, a new DVD was released in the USA which for the first time in the US territory includes the unrated version.
