The orangutan who played Clyde in this film was found dead of a cerebral hemorrhage two weeks after the film wrapped.

Goofs:

Crew or equipment visible: When Clyde is demolishing the Mercury, he is using both hands to hold up the front windshield. A crew member wearing an ape glove provided a third hand to help Clyde move the windshield.

A Double act which will make you go APE

Whoever thought of the idea of having a trucker/bare nuckle fighter and an APE as his manager must have had bananas on the brain.Its a classic, humourous film.

It also has a lot of action and a brillant country and western soundtrack.(Shame the soundtrack was never released)

Check out the tough old lady called MA played by Ruth Gordon and the idiots that are in this film as Hells Angels.
