Bury This Film In A Swamp, 21 April 2002

When people start turning up dead in the swampy lake of a Southern town, many of the inept local law officials blame it on alligators. However, a reporter and a local girl (who, despite having the name of Shawn Michaels, sadly doesn't superkick any zombies) discover the truth to involve the radiation from a meteorite...and that the fallout is turning the corpses into zombies!

The directorial debut of Ray (who appears as a pool player) is a complete waste of time. The editing is horrible (many cuts happen either prematurely or too late), the music is wretched (it also drowns out the character's screaming), the acting is atrocious (although Crabbe, in his last film, isn't too bad), and the characters are annoying. The zombie attacks are also ludicrous. With the standard (and subpar) Romero-issue makeup and quick cuts before penetration, the film's low budget really hurts what could be the highlight of the movie. I also question the logic of keeping the lake open and free despite the numerous deaths. Relatively inoffensive yet pitiful attempt at horror.
