In the theatrical release there is a film clip of punk rocker and former Sex Pistol Sid Vicious doing his version of "My Way," the song made famous of course by Frank Sinatra. Unfortunately, there is no music accompanying the video as the song's writer refused to grant permission for its usage in the movie as he did not approve of Sid's version of the song, believing that the punk rock movement in music itself was a blight on the industry. moreSoundtrack:

Mike O'Donaghue from National Lampoon and an original writer for "Saturday Night Live" had a great idea. Why not try to spoof the infamous MONDO CANE films from Italy? Sounds great, and you could crack a lot of jokes about this, but the end result is half of what I expect it to be.
Even with the appearance of several old-school SNL alumnae, such as Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Jane Curtain does MR. MIKE'S MONDO VIDEO still has its drawbacks. This film really did push the barrier, just like the MONDO CANE films of old, but it's like Mr. Mike is trying to copy Monty Python, rather than create his own humor.
The thing about MR. MIKE'S MONDO VIDEO that killed it for me was probably the total randomness of some of the scenes, that deviated away from the typical mondo film. It's great to see a lost artifact from the early days of "Saturday Night Live" but I really wouldn't buy a copy.
