The deep blue military-style coat Elizabeth Garvie wears in the scenes of Elizabeth Bennet arriving at Hunsford and at Pemberley is the same costume Ania Marson as Jane Fairfax wears in "Emma" (1972) during the scene in which Jane visits Mrs. Elton at the parsonage to discuss the party Emma is throwing for Mrs. Elton.

Goofs:

Anachronisms: A musician in the assembly hall dance scene is playing a concertina. The concertina was not invented until the 1820's. Decades later than the story is set.

Best P&P out there

When, oh when, is this version going to be out in DVD format? I've been waiting years. It's the best Pride and Prejudice out there. The dialogue is based on the book, and the character actors are excellent. It's so much better than the A&E version. I've watched my VHS tape many times a year for the past 10 years, but now I need it on DVD.
